Very Nice - Rooms, Service and Clean

This place has the nicest $50 motel room I've ever seen. This place looks just OK from the outside - they seem to have spent most of their remodel money on the inside - which is fine with me as that is where I actually sleep - you have to ask for one of their new rooms. Service at check-in was good and the room was very clean - and stylish decor to boot

very nice stay in a there's-nothing-city

We stayed there for 2 nights. il was perfect. right at the end of the Death Valley Nevada exit. the room was clean, and conditioning system worked perfectly. and also the tv and the small fridge (in the closet.. :). Just one problem. we couldn't use our credit card (the connection was broken) but now I think that the problem has been fixed.

a surprisingly nice place to stay

My husband and I stayed at the Phoenix Inn in early June, 2009. The little motel had just been remodeled, although the picture on the web site didn't look anything like the inn we stayed in! I don't know where they got those pictures, but it wasn't anything like that. Our room was nice--new carpet, new bathroom, freshly painted, new air conditioner, new furniture, flat screen TV, BUT the bed linens were old and tatty. They definitely need to update these. It was a bargain at $51 including tax. I think they are on their way to making the motel very nice. Improve the bed linens and wow, what a deal. Oh, the internet never did work, although I must say, they tried to help, but I never got on. Because it is on a side street and looks very old fashioned, many people might pass it up, but it is just fine.

home sweet home

From the moment I arrived till the morning I left this little Inn felt like home. The people made my stay there very comfortable. Darlene was very nice to talk to. There were quite a few nice gentlemen in the morning when I got coffee who would generously share there knowledge of the area with me. The manager of the place was a pleasure to talk to and look at. They were all available at anytime for me and I want to thank them for a wonderful stay.

We're going back to see their improvements

The genuine friendliness and attempts to serve us. The railed porch had been damaged, along with a room before we arrive in November, 2006. A SENIOR driver went forward instead of backward. Their good natured manner in handling this matter was admirable. Their rooms are dark, but still inviting. We enjoyed our leisure morning before going to Scotty's Castle in Death Valley National Park. We've reserved three nights- November 1,2,3 There will be things to do in Beatty, and its environs before we go to Death Valley. We think this is a good place, because the managers care.

Clean and acceptable

Each building is a double-wide made into separate rooms. In May, 2006, my room appeared to be recently redone with new paneling and furniture. All fixtures worked. You get a phone, microwave, and refrigerator. I paid $32.95 per night. My room was a clean, odor-free, non-smoking room with a double bed; clean sheets and fluffy towels. It's off the main drag and quiet but within walking distance of a restaurant (and the saloon). It's 40 miles from Furnace Creek, but a fraction the price and 20 degrees cooler. No spa, gift shop, or room service.

real quiet nice place-friendly staff. will be back again & again.close to down town & gas stations discount to bikers go out there way to make your stay a good one. there is so much more to say about the Phoenix Inn iam lost for good words.

A nice little place

This is a great place to stay! It's not the nicest place but remember your in Beatty, NV. It's got great low prices and people come around everyday to clean the rooms. If you have never stayed there you should. Thanks BTW-you get free coffe and muffin things

I'll go again.

The only thing that I thought was unusual about this place was that there was no maid service during my three night stay. Personally, I didn't mind that at all, but I'd think some people would. There was a "Maid Service Please" sign available to hang on the door, and I'm guessing if I put that out they would have taken care of it. I'll try that next time I go. Otherwise, it was an excellent place and I liked it much better than the Motel 6 down the street. The room was very large, included a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, free HBO and free continental breakfast. Not bad, and a great price.

Great little motel located in a real town super for exploring death valley. real resturants in beatty not fred harvey like in furance creek
