I completely enjoyed my stay...infact i intend to stay there next week. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is very friendly. My room was clean and there was no smell of cigarette smoke. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful Hotel...The girls (Kizzie and Radiant) at the front desk were awesome! The shuttle driver Shack was a absolute delight! Fishbone's was amazing!!! The local is the perfect place to explore the downtown area... We will definitely return!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/2/10
They lost our reservations and so our rooms were on different floors and they did not give us any sort of discount or upgrade for their mistake. When I got angry at the manager for this horrible customer service she proceeded to swear at me and tell me I was going to be removed by security! I will never visit this hotel again, too expensive for a crappy experience.

How about staying in Windsor?
By Chad Kennedy, 6/28/10
I did not enjoy my time there. I reserved a premium suite ($215 before taxes and fees, $297 after t&f's) and was so dissapointed at it we switch to a regular suite. The premium suite was tiny compared to the normal suite and the view from half windows was of a run down brick building. After the lady at the desk (not happy with my request to change) changed my room to the normal ($155 before t&f's, $187 after t&f's) I was only slightly pleased. The regular suite was ok for the money but nothing great. Bad remodeling job made the room look cheap. Why would you put the light switch for the bathroom outside of the bathroom??? Casinos are smoke-filled and run down. I would recommend staying in Canada. The hotels are priced similar and the casinos are wayyyyy better.

Don't look too closely!
By Linda, 6/14/08
My husband and I stayed one night while in town for a Tiger game. The bellman and parking attendant were very nice but when we got to our room on the 5th floor it was hot and stuffy. Called the desk and they sent up a guy to check it out. He said the air was working (after putting his hand up to the only vent in the room). We went out for dinner and the ball game hoping it would be cooler when we got back. It wasn't. When we went to get ice from the machine on our floor, an open door adjoining the ice machine showed a room with lots of dirty dishes with leftover food on them thrown on the floor... NASTY!! The staff took us to the Tiger game in a van- which is their complimentary area shuttle service. So far so good. After the ballgame at 11:30 at night we called for the shuttle to pick us up (after the driver assured us on dropoff that he would be back for us after the game). We waited until almost everyone in the area was gone from the ballpark and called the hotel several times getting no answer. We walked back to the hotel in the dark, deserted streets because we had no choice. We were approached at least 5 times by homeless people and drunks on our return on foot. Very scary. My advice is stay in the suburbs and get out of town after dark.

A Very Pleasant Surprise in Detroit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/30/08
What a pleasant surprise! The hotel is beautiful and well located for all of the activities in downtown Detroit. However the best part of our stay was the friendly and helpful hotel staff. They made our stay one of the most enjoyable ever!

Just stay away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/24/08
This hotel is outdated and smell badly of smoke. They upgraded my room to a room across from a strip club. The room did not feel clean and nothing worked in the room. The noise from the lobby traveled up to the 4th floor rooms. As a woman who travels weekly I just did not feel safe. It was too much random traffic and dark corners. I checked out early to go to a better hotel. Just stay away from this place!

Jail would be a vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/08
The rooms stink, the place smells like cigarette smoke. I felt like I needed a bath after leaving there. When I complained to management, they told me I should just stay somewhere else. The food nearby stinks - it's awful. The rooms need updating. What is wrong with this place?? Everything! STAY AWAY!

Big Price - Lousy Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/1/07
Watch out for all the hidden charges. A $20.00 parking fee is added to your bill automatically. Reception was not very organized and there was a long wait time to be checked in. Every staff member had their hand out to be tipped for not doing anything and was anything but friendly. The hotel itself and our room was not clean and was bug infested. We came away with bites on our arms and legs. The towels in the bath were rough as sand paper. The ice machines were broken on several floors. I expected much more from a 5 star rated hotel. I'd much rather stay in an Embassy Suites any day of the week.

SLEEPLESS IN DETROIT
By Angela, 4/24/07
This hotel is in a great location - meaning that it is close to EVERYTHING downtown... However, The noise is absolutely unbelievable - My husband & I stayed there two nights and it was the worst two nights ever spent in a 4 star hotel... Our room was right across from the strip club and all night people yelling, cars honking and lots of fights, WOW... Never a quiet minute... To top it off the guests in the room next door to us decided to bring their party back to the room at 3:30 Am - Security came up to settle the party, but that did not phase them. So much disrespect for the other guests staying at the Hotel... We ended up checking out earlier than we had planned. We stayed there last year and thought the place was GREAT. That is why we went back. Big change!Very disappointing to say the least. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU INTEND TO SLEEP!!!
