great stay and location

I was looking for a clean hotel in a good location and found exactly that when I found the Travelodge Hotel by the Falls. If you are looking for extremely clean and large comfortable rooms then this is the place. Plus you are only about a 10 minute walk to the Falls. You are close enough without being in the middle of all the craziness. Also, who wouldn't love to stay in a Pink Hotel. Being Pink sure makes it an easy find in a city loaded with hotels. The staff is very nice and they also have lots of parking and they have a Smitty's restaurant which doesn't cost an arm and a leg to eat at.

Average Hotel

This hotel was just what we expected. It was fairly clean, a bit more vaccumming would have been nice. The bathrooms were clean. The bathtub was very slippery traction strips where only on the the front part of the tub. The beds weren't very comfortable. The springs were easily felt when laid down on. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about local eateries. It was nicely located on a downtown strip but was further than the 10min. walk to the casino that we were informed of. Overall it was worth the price.

A Short Walk to the Falls

To avoid paying high prices for hotels near the falls we opted for this hotel and weren't disappointed. The walk to the falls was under 10 minutes. Also, parking was adequate and conveniently located across the street. Minor complaints: the room was smaller than what we expected. The pool was over chlorinated, the outdoor pool was freezing cold, and the spa was soapy and in need of a refresh. $15 CAN to access their WiFi and Internet. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

Not a luxury resort, but a pleasant place to stay

My experience with Quality Hotel Near the Falls was quite good overall, and it pretty much merited its 3-star rating as a good average hotel. The hotel over all was spotless the day we came in, as was the room. The staff was generally very friendly and helpful and contributed to a pleasant, if not outstanding experience. The food at the buffet was good and plentiful, if not particularly memorable - it would have been nice if they just went ahead and ran a full-service restaurant. In the end you get what you pay for. I came in with my family expecting a clean, comfortable, affordable place to spend our nights while vacationing at Niagara Falls, and that is exactly what we got.

Quality by the falls!

The hotel is not going to wow you. If you can get past the smell of chlorine as you enter the door you're well on your way to an average experience. Once you arrive to the room floors, you'll notice the ceiling heights are low...not the place for an aspiring NBA star to stay. The breakfast buffett is average...expect to pay a little more than you should for a buffett with no real thrills. You can do better just down the road. Despite the shortcomings of the hotel, the staff is very nice and they keep the hotel clean. The rooms are comfortable and quiet on upper floors. The location is about a half mile walk to the falls. Lastly, the hotel is a great value when compared to the competition and comes strongly recommended.

Don't stay here if you want to have fun at night.

This hotels service and policies were beyond deplorable. I had some people driving quite a ways to meet me in Niagara Falls and when they arrived I was told no visitors were allowed in the rooms. The two people working the desk were so far beyond rude I cannot even describe it. I was greeted with a grunt because the girl had to stand up and when I put my liscense down so she could see my name and check me in she said in an extremely rude tone "What is your last name?!?!" and then when I stated that the policy was preposterous I was immediately told "well you can check out if you don't like it" before I was even told "I am sorry". I had to leave, I was left with no choice, these people had driven quite a ways to see me. On my way out the desk girl said "I am sorry you don't like the policy, but we both know you won't be back and in bed by 11" WHAT AM I? A CHILD? Absolutely Deplorable.
