Melia Varadero, Varadero

This part of Cuba has to be a dream. i fell in love the moment i walked in. Access to the beach at all hours, great service, bar is open late, very friendly, and the dancers are amazing. Although there was a huge pool and jacuzzis i stayed on the beach each and every day i was their. i highly recommend this hotel to everyone. its great for teens and adults. There are many activities available. The club which i think was called “Disco Fun Pop” was horrible but there is a club a few hotels down which is supposed to be one of the best clubs on the island.

Ok I have been to Varadero Cuba 5 times in 6 years. First time in Varadero I stayed at the Superclub Breezes Varadero 2 times in July 2006 and in July 2007.This is my 3rd time I went tto Varadero Cuba in July 2008 stayed at this lovley hotel Melia Varadero and the 4th time I went to Varadero Cuba again I stayed at the Melia Varadero in July 2009. Then in 2010 I did not go to Varadero Cuba, I had to work at the FIFA WORLD CUP OF SOCCER IN SOUTH AFRICA 2010 and I came back to Varadero Cuba in August 2011 stayed at the Barcelo Solymar Arenas Blancas and oh boy down there it was a nightmare please read the review I left there you will see I wrote a bad review. For this hotel I liked it because the staff ere really friendly with me from day 1. from my 1st trip. I went to stay at this hotel because my ex lovely fiance used to work here and she did a good job working at this hotel and now this hotel told her she is a hard worker and she got nice diplomas from this hotel with her good customer service. I am not defending her but I admit it she was really nice and really tooked care of me when I went to Varadero Cuba when I went alone. I had no bad experience. But the bad thing I did niot like this hotel the beach/pcean it was too much rocks. So If you wanted to go to a nice beach/ocean you have to walk a good 10 or 15 minutes walk. Down there you did not see no ricks.I was glad also the front desk people guide me to the right section, Also when I had to book my shower time they gave me a nice freah towel and the washrooms/restrooms were so clean. Not like the Barcelo Solymar Arenas Blancas was bruital. So OLE to the Melia Varadero.

This hotel looks cute but the service is actually of bad quality. Rooms are a bit rundown too. I don't really recommend this hotel.

We got the greatest room at this hotel. three rooms together in the corner, two sides balcany. We brought stuff from home to tip their staff we got an excellent maid[Alanice] excellent food but salty though their services got worst each day for cleaning {change shift?] We tip 2-5 p. each meal. they always got the table ready for us family of six people I think that was reasonable but my friend said that was crazy. Overall I like their beach .

We just arrived home after 8 days at the Melia Varadero...we have traveled the last three years to the DR and decided to change it up....Cuba is beatiful and we had a wonderful time. The weather was amazing and the water wonderful.We loveed the resort and found the food great....If you like Burgers and Fries and Pasta, rice chicken beef...evetything we wanted was there and it was great. We were two mid thirties ladies and partied all week...We met many wonderful people and friends for life I am certain. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and as we said how much time do you spend in your room. The shower in our room was wonderful with lots of water pressure which was great. We got soda, water and beer every day in our fridge, the housekeepers were very friendly and did a great job on our room. The night shows were just fair but we decided not to go to these and ended up having a great time in the piano bar every night. The entainment team took us to a different bar every night ...the Private Cave is a blast as is the Beach Bar and Housin Park ( the pool bar)...I can not say enough about this resort we loved it no complaints..It was a good size and easy to get to know.The A La Carte we only ate at the Stesk House and the International...and these were great. I think this is a five star for sure and I have been to quite a few that were not...

hotel was very clean ,the rooms were good size and clean and everything worked,staff were friendly and tried to help whenever they could,a couple of the front desk staff didn;t seem very happy to be there,you know the look that they have when they are not happy,thats the look.the elevators were slow ,we found we had to wait for the elevator alot but no big deal.food was plentifull and for the most part was good, I did not get sick or the trotts ,but a couple of others had a problem for a day or so,but we have been away few times before so we are used to it ,I think thats all it was, food seemed fine to me solid 4 not a 5. beach is just ok seen much better have to walk up the beach for a ways to get away from the rocks older people may find this a problem so i give the beach a 3.5 .all in all was a nice stay has a nice piano bar and nightly entertainment was just ok nothing to write home about,thats for sure.

Meliã Varadero was a dream come true for myself and my boyfriend. We spent a week there and it couldn´t have been better; the food was very tasty and fresh, the people were so nice, the weather was so hot and the beach is amazing. The hotel is beautiful, we got the best room ever. It was without a doubt PARADISE!! It was the best holiday of my life. Make sure you go to on the Cayo Blanco excursion, it´s absolutely fenomenal. We also went to Havana and had a great experience there. Make sure you tip the waiters because they really appreciate it. I would love to go back one day and have another week of CUBA! I just got back from Melia Varadero yesterday and it was the best vacation ever. The inside of the hotel looked like an amazon...it was amazing. The food was great, our room was beautiful and most of all the people are so nice there..the nicest people you will ever meet..the weather was amazing not a drop of rain the whole week..so hot..i loved it. check out the kareoke bar at night..its really fun...the shows with the dancers were a bit boring though...make sure when u get there make reservations right away for dinner...or else u wont get a spot...leave tips and you will be served all day..never even have to ask for a refill they already come to you with another glass..

i've been here last summer, and it was a great place. their pools were awesome, and the beach was really really close. also it had soccer, bascketball, tennis and golf recreations, inside the hotel. and a greast fountain in the middle of the hotel, made you feel like you were in the middle of the jungle. it is a great place to relax and the best to do is to have an all included brazalet. it was really a great experience, and i'm looking forward to return this summer again. you, as i did, will love it, for sure.

This was a very great vacation resort. The service was excellent, very friendly people all around. The food was good, drinks were even better! There was never a dull moment, always something to see and do. I felt very safe at this hotel. Maids were friendly and very accomodating. The only thing that could have been improved was that we had a room with a very poor view, next time I will ask for an upgrade.
