Super 8 Flint Miller Road, Flint

Motel is hard to find as it is on a very small side street and located behind several other buisnesses. Conveniently close to the interstate hard to turn into the side street across 2 lanes when traffic is heavy. Several restaurants within short distance with a Denny's right next door. The desk clerk was very nice - I had prepaid for a room and had requested that it be on the first floor with no steps. I have some mobility problems and have a hard time with stairs, especially if carrying luggage or other somewhat heavy items. The room they had assigned to me was on the second floor (no elevator) and pre-payment did not allow for any changes to the reservation as entered on the computer. However, the clerk could see that the 2nd floor room would be a problem for me and changed me to a 1st floor room anyway, which was very much appreciated. The room was clean - nothing special but no problems either. For the price, it was okay and, though I might look for something nicer first, I would stay at this motel again if the need should arise.

I have stayed at this location consistantly, when in the Flint area, since 2006. My last stay was December 2009. I forgot to pack $200.00+ worth of perfume, and instead of returning it to management, someone stole all of it. I was told by management that she would try to catch the thief by observing which worker smelled like my fragrance. There are definitely thieves at that location. The manager offered no apology, no followo-up, basically nothing. I will never go back there again. They do not know how to treat loyal guest.

Bed hard as a rock, 2 towels for 4 people with "no extras available", ice machine was out of order, bulllet-proof glass in the lobby. We got what we paid for.

Our room was not what we had reserved. The "queen" bed was definitely not a queen and the mattresses weren't even the same size and very thin. We did not stay - we left right after checking in but were charged for the room anyway because the clerk said we were there more than 15 minutes. Also - there are 2 small rond tables and 4 chairs in the tiny lobby where they supposedly have a free continental breakfast???
