Outstanding restaurant
I did not stay in the Ritz-Carlton, but the Toscana restaurant is abosolutely outstanding. I went there very a day ago and found the service to be impeccable. The menu was decadent. The atmosphere is very opulent and classic, with dim lighting, high ceilings, two large chandeliers and exquisite large murals, possibly one of the grandest places to dine in Hong Kong. Amuse bouches are served which is actually quite rare in European restaurants in Hong Kong.
A small 'thank you gift' is also served: a small platter of assorted chocolates and a chocolate plaque with chocolate titling: "Thank you very much for dining with us [Name] and family. And when the staff saw that we liked the chocolates, they asked if we wanted a second serving! Everyone was too full, but they gave us a bag filled with them upon paying the bill! Now that is what I call great service. The staff were eager to make recommendations and knew when to disappear and reappear.
I have been to restaurants like Spoon and Brasserie on the Eighth and I have to say I find Toscana is the best out of them, even though they are all exceptional restaurants.
The pricing was very, very expensive, but if you ever get the chance to, go and have a great night out - its worth it, and you won't be disappointed!
