Awful
Traveling through Beaumont, we decided to stop for the night. We got a room at Knights Inn on I10 - conveniently located close to a restaurant we like. The people in the office were very nice. The room rate was somewhere between $80-$90, which would have been fine until we saw the room. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Our first clue was the cracks in the upstairs walk on the way to our room - pretty scarey. The room was not anything like we expected. The carpet was dirty and stained. There were holes in the walls, and water stains on the ceiling. Some of the lights did not have bulbs. The shower did not have the water pressure you normally get in hotels, and the showerhead was aimed very low with no way to adjust it. Crumbled soap fell out of two bath soaps I opened. Finally, there was no cable TV, no movies, and no internet connection (not a disaster, but it would have helped our stay to have just one of those items) The coffee pot and the hair dryer worked. Next time, we will stop earlier and take time to check our options.
