Great Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/08
The hotel has been completely renovated and is in great shape. My wife and I spent Memorial Weekend with our 2 children and had a great time. Coming from Orlando the hotel is located at I-95 and exit 191 making it located close to everything. While we were there we spent one afternoon at the beach and the front desk staff suggested a pontoon boat ride where we saw dolphins and manatees. Booked a golf outing for labor day weekend while we were there.

don't go

Hotel was being refurbished which I understand Holiday Inn will be taking over. Advertisement said restaurant and bar and nothing opened due to refurbishment. Rooms so so and actually dirty-like. Even the 95.00 was too much for this room.

The check in desk personnel were very nice. The room was average. The resturant food was below average. My T-Bone steak was so bad, I couldn't finish it,because my jaw hurt from chewing. The waiter said-it was the cut of meat. I say it was the cook!!

Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/05
The entire hotel needed to be cleaner. Windows looked as if they haven't been cleaned in months if not years-I stayed there a couple of years ago and it was good. Floors need cleaning, the elevator had papers on the floor when we went up to our room that were still there when we checked out. The restaurant was the worst I have ever been to. The food was poorly cooked, cold and practically inedible. The reception desk had a small dog walking on it when we checked in-if thats any idea of how they feel about customers. Rooms were barely OK but we had no where else to stay as everything was booked in the area. The only decent service was probided by the poor waitress who had the unfortunate duty of serving us. Two of us had steak, which was so bad, they took the cost off the bill. The waitress tried her best to placate us but that really is not good customer service. I asked for a rating card when checking out, but was told it was privately owned and not part of a chain, so I thought was was the use of making a complaint. The front desk personnel seemed to care less about what I thought. If it was part of a chain, I would have related all of the above on a rate sheet. I wish I had used a credit card where I could protest the bill, but unfortunately I didn't. If you care about people using your travel service, I'd take this hotel off the list. Sincerely, Ed Martinell

Were getting married here!

I liked the Egyptian style of the hotel and the Imperial Suite is amazing, it's a little pricy though.

Mrs. R. Dottin
By kati, 7/6/04
My stay at this hotel was the worse ever in my entire life. On the 4th of July, I came into the hotel, received a room and before going to my room, asked for a 4AM "wake-up-call." I was in Room #411. I got myself situated and decided to pull the comfortable back from the bed and noticed that there was only one sheet on the bed which served as the "fitted" sheet and there was not a "flat" sheet on the bed. I immediately called down to the attendant to recify this problem and the female that answered my called said, "what do you want me to do...I'm very busy....I have people standing here and I'm the only one here?" I was amazed she said this, so I began to gather my things to leave this hotel. About two minutes later, my hotel room telephone rang and it was the same female attendant stating she was sending someone up with a key to put me in room# 410, which is across the hall. I agreed and waited for my new room key. After receiving the room key, I went across the hall and to my surprise, the room smelled like a smoking cigarette room. There was no way I could stay or sleep in such a room. So, again I called down to the attendant and told her my of the room. She stated there were no other rooms with a double-bed and that she would have to put me in room #402 which is a suite. I received the room key to the suite, gathered all my belongings and settled in the room suite. When I woke up, it was after 8:00 am and realized that I DID NOT RECEIVE my 4AM wake-up call. I was furious, frustrated and very much upset with this hotel. As I turned in my keys to the rooms, I told Ms. Diaz how upset I was and she said she'd credit me $25 towards my hotel bill.
