Disappointing
I booked this hotel over the net after our regular Suites we like were booked. I booked it based on location (near Sea World) and the reviews over the internet. We are not picky individuals and are generally happy at any hotel/motel. However, when me and my family checked in, we were extremely disappointed. To begin, there were no towels in the room at all...we had to call for some after I washed my hands and reached for a towel that was not there or anywhere. Half of the plugs in the room did not work. Me and my wife had to share a set of plugs to charge phones and video camera. The air conditioner was extremely loud and shaky. Gave my toddler a bath in two inches of water, and upon trying to drain the tub, it took over 15 minutes for the water to drain. The bathroom is tiny and cramped, and top it off, the bathroom door would not click closed at all, no matter how hard one would try. It perpetually swings back open about 1/2 inch. Worst of all, the beds were NASTY. A quick look at the bed reveals a tattered and worn boxspring. Upon closer inspection, (upon lifting the mattress a bit, the boxspring reveals torn cover with rotten, splintering cork board exposed all along the edge, about a foot wide. I couldn't believe they would even keep a bed in this condition in the room. I actually took pictures of it with my digital camera to show the management later. I am not one to fuss about things, but I made a mental note to come and post this review in order to save you and yours some hard-earned money. At about $90.00/room, with two double beds, my usual suites at $80.00 were sorely missed. We stayed in the room about 20% of our time spent on this vacation, and it was sufficient to keep us comfortable. However, the things described above are enough to keep us from ever staying at a Best Western again. I would suggest a different hotel..perhaps one a little more expensive, but probably worth the extra cash. Good luck. I hope this review helps.
