Would never go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/11/11
Check in is at 3:00, they would not check in anyone ( there were 20 people milling around the front desk waiting for the stroke of 3:00) before 3:00 I was waiting for with the masses when at 2:58 a couple came in to check in and were told they would have to wait till 3:00 too, they are practically military in their enforcement of the 3:00 check in time. I know that is the posted time but I have stayed at many, many hotels and 5 minutes one way or the other is no big deal. So instead of checking in the dozen or so couples that came in 15 minutes early we had to wait till EXACTLY 3:00 and line up and wait to check in, really unnecessary and irksome. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The in room refrigerator never got colder than 50 degrees and we turned it to the coldest setting. The free breakfast was really lame, there were no plain creamers for the coffee only hazelnut and Irish cream flavored. I chose a bagel because it look the least disgusting of everything else, well there was a spot on it that upon closer inspection turned out to be mold, with fuzzies growing in it. UGH! I went across the street to Dunkin Donuts. Forget the free breakfast you couldn't pay me to eat it. Save your self the aggravation and stay some place else.

sign of the times?
By nemusys, 4/4/09
poorly staffed, room changes frequently forgot to replace coffee, towels... we were at the front desk every morning asking for stuff that should have been handled.

DONT STAY HERE.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/08
pros. location cons. dirty. staff is rude. do not do anything to fix problems except inconvenience you and move you to new rooms. security is terrible, a random guest knocked on my door and charged in. took out illegal drugs, and stripped naked tried to force us onto bed. four 22yr old girls.. this man was 40-45, scary. We thought he was a staff member, since we had to call them 4 times. Finally had to say my dad was coming to get him to put his clothes on and leave. Apparenly there arent people on staff to unclog your toilet when it is overflowing so bad that towel had to be put down to stop it from going on the carpet. Do not stay there and have visitors while you are there. They made me register them as guests and charged me 9.99 per person. Also, the "free breakfast" .. is about as tasty as chewing on cardboard. The room was dirty, and to top it all of there were bugs in our room. Everyone that was even just hanging out in the room is now broke out in a terrible rash all over them, the room smells, and even the new room had toilet issues. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had inn my entire life.

Disappointed
By James H, 9/21/07
Stayed here in September 2007. Was initially given a room that was never cleaned. After dealing with that mix-up, was given a nicer room, but it was still pretty worn down. There was scum on the shower floor that apparently couldn't be removed, scuff marks on the wall, etc. The neighborhood is right in downtown. This was convenient, but there were people asking for change right outside the the hotel entrance and as I drove to park my car to the off site garage a fight broke out in the middle of the street.

Ok hotel. Hard beds.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/12/07
We spent one night in Buffalo, and didn't get to the hotel until late. The service desk staff were very perfessional, and helpful. The first room we had smelled smokey and there was a visible haze in the room. This is a non-smoking hotel, so I think someone had smoked in it when they weren't supposed to. We were given a different room without any problem. This room smelled better. We had a two room suite. One room had a king bed and a door with curtains. One child stayed on the pull out couch and we had a roll away brought in for the other child. There were two TVs in the room and a diningroom table with 4 chairs. The plumbing was good. We liked the free breakfast. There were hard boiled eggs (a little tough), waffles, and sausage as well as the standard cereal, toast and muffins. The beds were very hard. It was like sleeping on a board, but the pillows were good. There were holes in the blankets and sheets. There was a little odor in the room, and some lights had missing light bulbs. The parking lot was a block away.

Great experience
By Tom E, 7/28/07
We loved our room. The room and bathroom were both nice and clean. I traveled with two of my children and we had a lot of room in the suite. Even though the parking was a couple blocks from the hotel, it was not a problem for us because we did not go in and out much. The parking was secure... The breakfast was good and well stocked. All of the common areas were kept very clean. We would definately return!

Can't recommend
By B B, 6/20/07
Very convenient to the trendy downtown area. A few nice restaurants nearby. Many pub-types of places to eat. Many nightclubs. On Thursday nights in the Summer, they have some sort of street party near the hotel. This spills over into all of the nightclubs. It was extremely noisy. There was still hooting and hollering at 2:00 AM. Internet access in the room was wireless. It was very marginal; sometimes it wouldn’t connect at all. The room was pretty worn. It had a dingy, old-motel type of look and feel. Furniture and carpet were worn and stained. Bed was not very comfortable. One morning, they ran out of cold water! I don’t know how it happened, but it was too hot to take a shower for a while. Parking was paid for by the hotel, but was in a parking ramp a block from the hotel. Overall can’t recommend it.
