A great place to stay.
By brian w, 09/01/09
Got into Asheville around noon with a three year old that needed a nap and no reservations. The clerk at the front desk was able to put us in a room right away. The room was very nice and clean. No problems at all and the pool was a nice treat a little later in the evening. I did hear the train but it was while I was at the pool. It runs practically next to the place. My room was on the opposite side of the hotel and I didn't hear a sound. Overall a great experience and I will stay here again.

Watch Your Credit Card Here!!!
By Mark, 11/11/08
Watch your credit card here! We booked two rooms for two nights. We cancelled the first night and told the desk clerk that we would be there the next day. When we arrived, the hotel did not have a room for us. The desk clerk that we spoke with was working the desk as we checked in. She remembered our call and remembered specifically remembered changing the reservation so that we would not lose our room. When we arrived home, we discovered that the hotel had billed us for that 2nd night anyway -- even though they didn't have the room. I phoned the hotel to speak with the manager on three separate occasions -- leaving a message each time. The manager never returned my call. I phone Days Inn corporate customer care and filed a complaint. They resolved the issue by working with the hotel to refund my money. There is a great Holiday Inn right across the road -- great rooms, reasonable price and GOOD customer service. Their number is: (828) 298-5611 . Should you have a problem with this hotel, contact corporate customer care at customercare@wyndhamworldwide.com or phone 866-966-7937 .

TRAINS
By Doug, 08/05/06
Rooms, breakfast, and location good. The trains kept me up all night, would have been nice if staff would have told me up front about the trains, I would have stayed in a different room, away from the tracks. Probably would not stay again because of trains.

Just back from Asheville.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/06
We stayed in the Days Inn in downtown Ashville. It was a great experience. The room was freshly decorated and very clean. Beds were comfortable. The rate was so low I could hardly believe it. The young man at the front desk followed up to be sure we could connect to the internet and that everything was o.k. in the room. We could not have had a better experience.

Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
By By The Lake, 05/23/05
I went to this hotel after being quoted a price $20 higher from the Best Western across the street. The room still wasn't cheap, but it was clean and comfortable. Though this hotel is not close to downtown Asheville, (finding decent food nearby was a problem, try Norton's for some cheap beer and decent food) it is extremely close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, access to and from directly from Tunnel Road. The room was not cramped, but otherwise unspectacular. The person at the front desk checked us in very quickly, but seemed to lack the southern hospitality I became accustomed to while travelling in the south.

Visit to Mountains to see Butch
By Linn, 05/18/05
The rooms were extremely clean and the front desk personnel was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and pleasant to deal with. My husband and I book at this particular Days Inn everytime we're up to Asheville. We have our reservations already scheduled for the Memorial Day Weekend!!
