great time at the fairfield inn
By becky, 05/14/08
i've stayed in flag before at the monte vista and knew to stay far enough away from downtown to avoid the train noise. we picked the fairfield inn and i'm glad we did. the room was one of the cleanest and most comfortable hotels i've ever stayed in and i've traveled across the country. the staff was friendly. i really liked the elevator which you had to use your room key to operate. i was on the 3rd floor which i would recommend b/c i've heard the floors are squeaky. the bed was very big and comfy. i slept great and didn't hear the trains. the heater also worked great b/c it was chilly outside. even snowed during the night! the bathroom was small but certainly nice. i didn't want to leave the shower. next time i'm in flag i'll be staying here again!

Great value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/07
This is one of the nicest places we have stayed in Flagstaff, and a real bargain too. Rooms and common areas are nicely appointed, everything clean and in good working order, good breakfast selection. Friendly staff, even though very busy. Convenient location off I17 and I40, easy to find, surprisingly quiet.

Flagstaff-Fairfield
By james, 01/10/07
Easy to find and friendly staff. The room was spacious and had lovely decor. We didn't spend much time at the hotel but I would definitely go back! The bed was incredibly comfortable. Check in/out was easy. The staff was wonderful! The breakfast was wonderful. It was snowing so the hotel provided ice scrapers and winter road conditions. I'll definitely stay here again!

Not the best choice for business travelers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/06
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel except that it was not truly designed for business travelers. The staff was wonderful! They were friendly, and not only remembered my name, but also my room number. At the free breakfast, there are little Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, in microwaveable packages. Most free breakfasts are just "continental," with no meat (protein), so that was a nice change. The room, however, was a little cramped, and not well suited for work. The desk was in an odd location -- right next to the door, and the desk chair will not extend high enough for short people to work comfortably. The "fitness room" was also just a very small room with a bike, elliptical and treadmill, although I am informed there is a gym nearby. Also, you can't turn left (towards downtown Flagstaff) when exiting the hotel. If you want to go that direction, you have to turn right and then make a U-turn. If I come back for non-business purposes, though, I'd definitely stay here again!

Can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/06
I can't say enough about this hotel and it's employees. They are wonderful! Very accommodating and friendly. The continental breakfast is the best I've ever seen. Plenty of room to sit and eat breakfast in a very casual, nice atmosphere. Our room was wonderful. They just got new beds and ours was so comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Flagstaff.

Perfectly Fine in Flagstaff
By MichaelT, 05/10/05
This was a perfect location near the university. Snow was blocking the front drive but it was no problem to circle around back and the parking lot was totally clear. The morning breakfast spread was great before heading out for a day of boarding at Snowbowl. The room was clean and warm with a great view of the University area. The staff was courteous. It would be nice to see it in the summer...I'll be back!
