We have gone here for several years and took our kids. Rooms are small but that was ok. The place has gotten shabby over time and it doesn't look like any money is being put into the place. Very rickety top porches. Sally & Allyn are very nice, but the other workers not too friendly or helpful. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired considering what you get elsewhere for less money. I guess they work off the fact they are oceanfront property, so they don't have to put too much effort into anything anymore. Too bad. It is a nice old historic place.
We have been going to the House by the Sea for years. Since the kids were little. We used to travel from Vt., now from Fla. We still all meet up there and stay for a week. Sally and Allyn always treat us like family. It is good to relax and get away from the City and all the electronic gadgets, to just be and reflect. Watching the kids on the beach and waves is great. Can't wait to get back there.
The people whom work there are not friendly at all. The rooms are very small, don't be suprised if you request a king size bed and it's only 2 twin beds put together. The bathrooms are very narrow and small too. They also charge you more for that. Also, you can buy your beach passes at the B & B, they are cheaper than on the boardwalk but, they don't tell you that. It's not much of a breakfast, maybe juice & cold cereal and a pastry.
