Wonderful place to stay!
The hotel was very modern (looked like Ikea did the decorating) and in a great location, just a few blocks from the Grand Place and a short Metro ride to others. The staff was amazing, very nice and catered to our every need. Everyone spoke English. Our room was ready three hours earlier than expected. The breakfast buffet was included with our room and was delicious, but is otherwise overpriced. There are dozens of places to eat around the hotel and a shopping mall directly across the street for any forgotten amenities. A taxi was scheduled by the staff and waiting to take us to the airport when we left the hotel. The only negative was the outlets in the room were tied into a central on/off system, which required a room key to operate. The problem it posed is that my husband sleeps with a breathing machine for sleep apnea, which could not be plugged in by the bed because when we turned the lights off (since the lights and plugs were on a central system) the machine would not operate. The only plug independent of this system was located at the desk, which was at the foot of the bed. Luckily, the cord was long enough so he didn't have to sleep with his head at the foot of the bed. The internet is expensive, but there are options to use it for an hour or a 24-hour period. Some local places offered free wireless and were close to the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The tub was about six inches more narrow than an American tub and the bathroom lights were controlled by a motion detector. Overall, it was a great experience.
