Not a fan
By Pat, 07/01/09
Rate was high for what you received. Room was clean, which was the best part. Stayed there 2 Mondays in a row due to business travel. Desk clerk staff we encounterd (2 females, one male) were rude, never smiled, used minimal words during check in and none during check out. Lobby area smelled bad and ice maching appeared dirty. This did not give a very good initial impression.Breakfast was poor. Pans were empty. No one checked. Window was open, no screen, flies in breakfast area. Again, room was clean so the maid was probably the best staff on payroll. We stayed in room 233 both nights. They are fixing up the outside of the building but that won't help much if they don't improve staff. I would not recommend this hotel to friends.

Needs alot of TLC

Don't get me wrong, the rate is great, but you get what you pay for. The ONLY reason I stayed here is because it got better ratings than the other hotels/motels in the area on the Trip Rewards program. My husband and I stayed in room 201, on the second floor, nearest to the office. The room needs some major updating. The carpet is dark green, so you can't easily see all the stains. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets wouldn't stay on. The tv and remote worked well, as did all the lights and the hair dryer (we didn't try the coffee maker). The bathroom area needs a major deep cleaning. I couldn't tell if the grout was dirty, or supposed to be that color. The shower head and knobs were dirty, as was the sink knob. The shower curtain was dirty and wasn't long enough to cover the whole shower. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and there were lots of sections of the ceiling that were peeling/falling. We had a little visitor hanging around outside our door---a bat! The parking lot in the front of the motel is small, but pretty well lit. The pool area looked very clean, the pool was still open when we were there. The Daybreak Breakfast was typical. The picture of the breakfast area on the website isn't the same. There was bread, bagels, dough nuts, cereal, juice and coffee. The milk they had out for the cereal was 2 days past the expiration date and breakfast area was a mess. We enjoyed our time in Hannibal, but would never stay here again.

One of the better ones.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/05
I really liked this hotel because it was in our budget. The room was clean and roomie. I like hotels that have there own door to the outside so that was a definet plus on this hotel. The whirlpool tub was also a fun experence. Out of the hotels I have stayed at I would say this is one of the best. We may go back in a couple weeks to visit some family and if we do we hope to reserve the same room.
