Needs alot of TLC
Don't get me wrong, the rate is great, but you get what you pay for. The ONLY reason I stayed here is because it got better ratings than the other hotels/motels in the area on the Trip Rewards program. My husband and I stayed in room 201, on the second floor, nearest to the office. The room needs some major updating. The carpet is dark green, so you can't easily see all the stains. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets wouldn't stay on. The tv and remote worked well, as did all the lights and the hair dryer (we didn't try the coffee maker). The bathroom area needs a major deep cleaning. I couldn't tell if the grout was dirty, or supposed to be that color. The shower head and knobs were dirty, as was the sink knob. The shower curtain was dirty and wasn't long enough to cover the whole shower. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and there were lots of sections of the ceiling that were peeling/falling.
We had a little visitor hanging around outside our door---a bat! The parking lot in the front of the motel is small, but pretty well lit. The pool area looked very clean, the pool was still open when we were there.
The Daybreak Breakfast was typical. The picture of the breakfast area on the website isn't the same. There was bread, bagels, dough nuts, cereal, juice and coffee. The milk they had out for the cereal was 2 days past the expiration date and breakfast area was a mess.
We enjoyed our time in Hannibal, but would never stay here again.
