Everything is expensive in Paris
The hotel is distressingly small. Fixtures are old and tend not to work. Although the maids are kind and attentive, the hotel needs a good scrubbing. Management and staff, however, were kind and helpful. The location was perfect for our needs; a short walk to the Louvre, a quick Metro ride to every place else. The age of the building added a certain quaint feeling of what turn-of-the-century Paris must have been like. But the price? We rented three rooms for six nights and paid over $2,000 U.S. Yikes!
