Sea Crest Ocean Front Resort, Myrtle Beach

This place was ok, it had a very funny smell, the carpet was nasty and the sheets on the pull down bed was very nasty looking. We went to buy sheets and etc because we didn't want our kids sleeping on there sheets . We only stayed one night, thanks to the weather, the staff was very friendly, my kids did enjoy the kiddy pools, it is ok, it all depends on what type of hotels you enjoy staying in, this was the Jacuzzi suite, I can only image how the other room look.

* When you first walked in there was a very loud orange sent, almost like they were covering up the real smell, we had to open the balcony doors to not choke on the fumes. * The beds were horrible. Very uncomfortable * The pictures on the website are very unreal. They looked beautiful. NOT TRUE. * The pools were nasty. The lazy river pool did not move. You got out smelling like raw eggs. * Parking is a mad house and it is across the street from the resort. Not good at all. * Leaks in our bathing room. You had to get dressed in the SMALL bathroom, it was seperate from where the mirrors where. * The carpet was nasty. Floors were nasty. * We were suppose to stay 3 nights, ended up staying only 1 because they were so bad. The only thing I can say is they did not hold me to the money we already paid, they only charged us for the night we stayed. * We will NEVER GO BACK

This hotel ran us less than $100 per night and we got a double Queen ocean front efficiency. The efficiency means you have a small stove, kitchen sink, refrigerator, microwave, and kitchen items (silverware, dishes, etc.). Unless you are planning on staying for more than a few days, it is really not necessary. We've used the refrigerator to keep some drinks cold, but that's it. And the kitchen area takes away from the size of the room, so it's a little cramped. The bathroom is kind of small. BUT... I couldn't be happier with the view of the ocean, the balcony, and sleeping with the sliding glass door wide open so I can listen to the waves and feel the ocean breeze. Best.Sleep.Ever. The 5th floor breakfast area is okay. It's not free, but your choices are much the same as a free breakfast at other hotels. I guess they think because they serve Starbucks coffee everything else should be over-priced. Everything you need is located on 17-Business or 17-Bypass. This hotel is located in an area LINED with hotels, restaurants, beach shops, etc. But it is only about 20 minutes from Barefoot Landing and even closer to Broadway at the Beach. Parking is a little inconvenient... there is a garage across the street, but it is free. You can rent beach chairs and an umbrella from the lifeguards (not through the hotel) for $30/day. I think it goes down if you purchase more than 1 day. It was well worth it because they set it up for you and you don't have to haul anything anywhere. I can't think of anything else - hope this helped!

We found this motel a few years ago, and started stayin there every year! We love it! It is close to everything, there is no need to go anywhere, everything is right there at you! The only complaints that I have is the head cleanin lady is very rude! Both years that we were there is was awful! and the parking is across the street! But the rooms are nice and they DO have flatscreens i every room and I have never found our room dirty! We always get a King angle ocean it has plenty of room for our family! My kids love it! I tell everyone I know about this place, now if you dont have any kids maybe not the place for you.... KIDS love it!

We recently stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed. Checked in and was given a room on the 15th floor - view wasnt so bad but no internet. Moved us to 6th floor and the internet worked great but the smell of the room was disgusting. The rooms were not clean and the kitchen area was aweful. Very dated. Will not return and when we told the front desk they just said, "We will let housekeeping know". Seriously? IN additoin, they leave the music on at the outside pool area ALL night. 24 / 7 so if you are looking to get a good nights sleep you won't. DO NOT STAY THERE!

My family will never stay at Sea Crest Ocean View Resort in Myrtle Beach again. Our room looked NOTHING like the pictures. The pools were dirty. Our FLAT SCREEN TV was anything but. The toilet paper holder was lying on the floor when we arrived. There was a 1/2 inch gap around the main room door. There was mold on the floor in the bathroom. The bath tub mat was ripped apart and lying on the floor. The smell was disgusting. We feel very misled by the pictures. We were VERY disappointed and will not recommend this resort to anyone.

You cannot check-in until 3:30pm no matter what...You cannot get but one parking pass per reservation....You will not have hot water and the water pressure is so low that you will feel nasty after the shower...The staff is rude, rude, rude....The staff will walk in on you without knocking...The elevator will be slow or hung up...STOP...GO BACK...DANGER at THE SEA CREST!!!!!!

First, let me say that I have been to MB several times and am always looking for a nice family hotel to stay at. My family and I went down this past weekend for car show. Our first night there, one of the beds had dirty sheets. They sent up clean ones. The next morning, we had to take cold showers, after calling front desk 3 times, only told be told to let water run 5 mins to get to warm up which it did not do. When I spoke to manager was told they would turn up water heater ang to wait about 10 mins. Spent all day out of room, late that night water was scalding hot, but by next morning it was cold again. Went to check out and asked if we could remain parked there to go to beach for a little while and was told no. Oh and freddie the frog pool is not totally enclosed to use in winter which looks like it is in pics.I will never stay here again and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Rooms smeeled of moth balls, interior doors hade holes kicked in them, outer door continually failed to lock properly, furniture was worn and missing handles, airconditioner was so loud that I couldn't sleep and front desk wouldn't even extend the courtacy of late check out so i could enjoy the beach and then shower in the morning. Never stay here

We made reservations for 6 people but room only had towels for 4 people, no shower curtain, stove old-none of the stove eyes fit, door was hard to open, 2 many calls to maintenance who were very slow to respond, tub drained extra slow, almost died trying to cross street from parking deck w/small children,room service never cleaned the tub & didn't sweep the kitchen. the heated lazy river was great, the mini water park for small kids was great- the outdoor bar & karoke was nice- right on the beach. for what they're charging the appliances need to be updated in the kitchen. A nice flat screen hd tv in the living room but older tv in the bedroom. the worse part was the balcony!! it had carpet tiles that were wet & slimy & smelled just awful-the carpet tiles should be pulled up- it was just disgusting!
