Terrible Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/11
Rude and non-caring staff. They wanted to charge $15.00 for one minute passed the check out time at 11:00AM! Avoid this dump and enjoy Fredericksburg somewhere else.

DON'T STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/9/11
My husband had a job to do in Fredricksburg, TX. The crew checked in at 1:30, and by 3:00 the it was too windy to complete their work. (They erect Cell Phone Towers, so you people can talk on your phones while in BFE) The guys told the clerk about their dilemma and he refused to give them a credit at the motel and refused to refund their money as well. My husband was more than willing to pay a prorated amount for the HOUR AND A HALF they spent in the room, but they were told they would get nothing back and no credit either.....CAMEL JOCKEY OWNERS.....

we paid $50 for the night.
By don, 4/6/11
It was cool, quiet,, sedate. NO it was not the $180 per night down the road, but we slept well. The donut place down the road was adequate, and YES we would stay there again. In fact thinking about Honeymooning there in a couple of weeks. You get a clean, quiet bedroom, tx and a/c for $56 including tax. We're used to spending $24 for a night at E-Rock primitive camping.

WHAT A DUMP!!!!!
By KAY, 7/18/10
THIS PLACE WAS A TRUE DUMP. THEY HAD TO TURN THE WATER ON FOR IT TO WORK AND WE SAW WHY. IT WOULD NOT QUIT RUNNING. THE PLACE WAS AWFUL. I WOULDN'T EVEN STAND IN THE SHOWER WITHOUT FLIP FLOPS ON BECAUSE IT LOOKED SO OLD AND NASTY. THE AIR CONDITIONER LOOKED LIKE IT WAS 5O YEARS OLD STAINS ALL OVER FLOOR. THE TOWELS WERE SO OLD AND FRAYED THE KIND I USE FOR RAGS. I ACTUALLY HAD A BUG CRAWL IN MY HAIR WHILE IN BED. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING THERE. ONE PERSON SAID YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR WELL I DON'T THINK I GOT $84.00 WORTH. I WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN IF IT WERE FREE. AND BEDDING LOOKED LIKE IT WAS FROM SOME THRIFT STORE AND USED WHEN THEY BOUGHT IT. JUST AWFUL!!!

go somewhere else
By Kimberly, 3/20/09
We got into town late and 2 other places were sold out so we stopped here. The price was FAR from "budget" and the toilet didn't work, someone did come to work on it. The mattresses were old and worn and there was no soap in the bathroom. They charged us $5 extra for paying cash, with no apologies for the problems we had in the room. We stayed at the Hampton Inn the next night and for a similar rate were treated like real guests with 100% satisfaction or don't pay.

Perfect Stay in German Hamlet
By ChrisR, 1/20/07
If you go to Fredericksburg to stay in a hotel, go somewhere else!! Fredericksburg is a great little German town, full of antiques, German Restaurants, and things to do... women love the shops... men love it too because you can drink beer on the sidewalk while the wife walks from shop to shop! The Deluxe Inn has been our hotel of choice for years. The rooms are vintage '40s clean, tidy, small rooms for weary travellers. We go every February for a festival at Luckenbach, TX right down the road, and stay here every time. An incredible value, and a fun town! Just made our next reservation for this coming February!

You get what you pay for.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/06
Hello, My family and I really enjoyed this place. The room was comfortable, cool, spacious, and clean. We only paid 50 dollars, so we weren't expecting the Hyatt or the Hilton, as the other poster was. One plus was the outside patio area. We sat outside at night at the private patio tables and had a great time, and ate our breakfast there as well the next morning. One fault was there was no continental breakfast, and my kids were looking forward to the donuts! But, we got some a block away. This was good place to stay if you're on a budget and KNOW IT. God bless, The Wenske Family

Stay anywehre but here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/19/06
This hotel is the worst property we have ever stayed in as a group. Our group reserved several months in advance, arrived on time and our room was basically on the ROAD. The rooms are old, the bathroom worse and the mattresses even worse. When we told the desk clerk we found the room unacceptable, and wanted to be relocated, he acted like he didn't understand English and basically said too bad. We will never ever stay in this flea bag hotel again, and likely won't return to Fredericksburg. It is a cute town, but the hotels all look pretty old, and they need some nice chains to come and bring acceptable lodging, are your listening Sheraton, Hilton and Marriott. Every hotel is town was sold out, so imagine what would happen if they had great facilties, the town leaders should be required to stay in every hotel in town at least once to make sure they tourists they are counting on for their livelihood are taken care of better that this.
