Carson Plaza Hotel, Gardena

Where to start! Not enough non-smoking rooms available for our group. Room smelled like a chimney. Rips and stains on the carpet, no clock in the room, bathtub floor was damaged, the secure access from the ground to the stair well was not secure...and given the shady characters loitering around at 1 am, this was a safety issue. No visible security at all. Traffic noise was deafening... On a plus side, they left us a complimentary snack bag and a couple water bottles and the coffee machine in the lounge was good...minus the day it broke. :( Personally, I think they should tear it down and start over. I can't believe anyone would really write a good review. Yes, it was THAT bad.

My wife and I made a last minute decision to stay in Carson. We went to the Carson plaza hotel because of the price. We were impressed. They provided breakfast, AAA discount, Newspaper. It was just a great value Hotel. I would stay there again.

Tired at night, we saw the hotel right off the freeway! Did not expect much for the area but was pleasantly surprised when we got there. The staff was extremely helpful. Upgraded us to a room with a spa. That hit the spot! The free wireless was great! And an awesome breakfast. Who'd have thought? Lovely rooms and clean through and through.

I am so happy that this place has maintained its standards through the years. I have been a patron for many years. Keep up the great work
