First time to Japan, among the four 5-star hotels we stayed, Biwako Hotel was the best. We were convinced to try the hot spring public bath the hotel provided and are happy we did it. We had a room facing the lake, the weather wasn't good enough to see the other side of the lake but other good things made up for it. We definitely would like to go back. Be prepared this hotel is not cheap at all.

THE BIWAKO HOTEL IN 1956

HI. I HAVEN'T BEEN TO THE BIWAKO HOTEL SINCE 1956. IT WAS GREAT THEN AND LOOKS LIKE I SHOULD VISIT IT AGAIN. I REMEMBER GREAT SERVICE, VERY CLEAN, AN OUTDOOR POOL, A GREAT VIEW OF THE LAKE. CHET ZANESKI
