Where's the a/c?
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June '08. My roommate and I shared a twin room that had a window facing an air shaft. There was no a/c, no tv, no phone, and almost no security! The locks on the doors and keys don't always want to cooperate.
As it turned out, we might have been luckier than the others whose rooms faced the street. They were kept awake most of the nights by raucous noise. However, these rooms had huge windows with shutters that were rather appealing. No a/c there either! Don't even ask about the bathrooms!!! Let's just say they were efficient enough for the traveler to bathe and do whatever. Ours had the old flush tank on the wall with a chain to pull! Hold onto the chain too long and the tank would leak.
The breakfast buffet isn't too bad, but forget dinner. Go out and find a place in the neighborhood. Down by the train station there are nice places which appear to have good food as well as ambiance. By the way, this is the first I've heard of a pool. I wonder where they keep it???
