Dump! Dump! Dump!
By ,
My father arranged for out of town guest to stay here for our family reunion. When I arrived it looked like a dump. My husband and I checked in with two kids and my nephew, against or better judgment. We spent approx. 1 1/2 hours looking for another hotel that was CLEAN and up to date that was still close to our family members. We finally realize that there was nothing close. We left to go eat and arrived back to the room smelling of cigarette smoke. We asked to move to another room. We moved to another room and slept on top of the covers, because we scared of getting bit by bed bugs. However, the next morning, I woke to my two year old with bites all over her body. I will be taking her to her MD to confirm if was bed bugs. When we checked out the next morning we were not charged the family reunion rate and were charged an additional $15.00 for the room we moved out of because we left a wet pull-up in the trash can. The Patel on duty stated that we placed the pull-up in the trash can and he had to charge us $15.00 for a cleaning fee when we moved from the room that smelled like smoke, because we left a wet pull-up (not bowel at all). The Patel on duty was yelling at my husband and me about the charge. I could not believe his attitude or the room’s appearance. Several hours later I still can’t believe this DUMP is still open. I would stay away from this hotel. The rooms are nasty and so was the attitude of the person up front. As always, pay a little more to get the service you want.

We had a great stay.
By ,
We were pleasantly surprised with our large room with king sized bed. We used the WiFi connection to stay in touch with work and family. The room and bathroom were very clean and appeared to have been newly renovated. Bed was comfortable and hotel was quiet for sleeping. We had good customer service at the front desk and also in the dining area. Complimentary breakfast was nice with waffles, eggs, sausage, bagles, fruit, juice, coffee, cereal, toast. We also had the Biltmore package so our tickets were waiting for us when we arrived. Beautiful view of the moutains! And we were conveniently located to downtown Ashevillle as well as Biltmore.

Disappointing
By ,
My husband, daughter and I stayed overnight here to be close to the Biltmore. Upon our arrival, we paid cash for our room and were asked to leave a $50 deposit, which we put on our credit card. We went to our room and at first glance, we were happy with it. The room was hot, so I turned on the air, then we left to go downtown. On our way back to the hotel, we picked up some food and ate it at the counter in the room. Then, we proceeded to take baths. The room had a jacuzzi which looked good, but half the jets didn't work. Then, we went to bed. The next morning, the floor was all wet in front of the air conditioner. As we were going to breakfast, we stopped by the desk to tell them that the front of the air conditioner looked like it was broke and the water was leaking. Well, they had to decide if WE did it before they would give our deposit back. The maintanence men went in there and so did housekeeping and they all said we did something to it. In the meantime, my husband and I are trying to tell them it was already like that. They said if we didn't do it, we should have noticed it broken when we got in our room. What kind of bull.... is that. Finally, the manager went to the room and said just give them their depost back. In the end, it wasn't even about the stupid $50. It was the principle of the thing. We will never stay here again. This place is a joke. For people thinking of staying here: check your room thoroughly when you first get in it and call the desk if you see anything broken. Otherwise, they'll think you did it.

It was just okay.
By ,
We were here as part of a Biltmore package. Very affordable, but then again you get what you pay for. The hotel in general needs renovation, especially the entrance doors to the different buildings. They would not close or lock properly and were always left open. Our room was old and seemed as if it had not been cleaned in a while. The furniture and rug was worn and we were also concerned about bugs. On the upside, the hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. No request was denied and was always met with a smile. This made the stay a bit more tolerable. One more thing, don't bother asking for a room with a mini-kitchen. The appliances look like they're from the 60's and do not work. Beware of the kitchen cabinets...broken, worn and house bugs.

A New Look
By ,
I travel through Asheville every year with my wife to Florida. I was very impressed by the new look at the Ramada Riverridge. The place has had some subtle renovations, but the property is very clean. I remember when the hotel was with a different chain about 2 or 3 years ago. It was not a very desirable place to stay. I truly enjoyed the hot breakfast bar, quiet room, and a very friendly staff. If you haven't been to Asheville in a while, check this place out. It is better than ever before.

Great Place!
After reading some of the reviews I was reluctant to visit the hotel, but noticed the dates on most negative reviews were old. Therefore I decided to give the hotel a try and see if any improvements were made. I was very surprised. The hotel has new mattresses, a great breakfast, and friendly staff. I will stay again.

Wish We Had Stayed There Our Whole Visit
By ,
First of all, I don't usually write reviews (though I read them all the time) but I wanted to spread a few good words about the Ramada Asheville. My wife and I came to visit her sister who lives in Asheville. We stayed the majority of our trip at a Hampton Inn near her sister's house. At the end of the trip we decided to stay a few extra days and we ended up moving to the Ramada Asheville. We soon decided that we actually liked the Ramada better and we wished we had stayed there the whole trip. It was a little longer drive to our relative's house but it was that much closer to the downtown and the Biltmore Estate; it really is a convenient location. We were able to get a good night's sleep on the comfortable mattresses and wake to a really great breakfast (one of the best I have seen at a hotel in this price range). From what we saw of the property, it seemed pretty well-maintained. And the staff was really helpful, friendly and full of southern hospitality. We will try to go back to Asheville this year if we can, and we will be staying at that Ramada for sure.

“Great Location for family!”
By ,
The place was exactly what we were looking for: clean, quiet, spacious. We stayed three nights while vacationing in Asheville. Great location! Less than 10 minute drive to downtown area as well as the Biltmore. Nice sized room. Comfy bed. with new mattress. Very nice breakfast at this price with choice of eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, waffles and the standard bagels, donuts, muffins, Danish, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. The place is convenient to downtown, shopping, dinning, as well as Blue Ridge Parkway. 2.5 miles from Biltmore. But when in the Asheville area, I will gladly stay here again.
