Sheraton Washington North Hotel, Beltsville

My daughters and I stayed here while attending the Kenny Chesney concert at FedEx Field. The Hotel was conveniently located and very clean. The Front Desk staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and directions. It is less than 5 miles to the Greenbelt Metro Station which is about a 20 min trip to downtown DC - very convenient for sightseeing. I plan to stay here again when visiting DC in the Fall.

our trip was great. the hotel i would recommend to any one. very professional. they have a breakfast bar that is very good. we ordered our reservations thru expedia. they paid for our breakfast each morning. they have a bus their ,that takes you to the metro an picks you up. their is a great restaurant 1 block away called T J'S. they had really good food and give you plenty. we were very pleased with the whole experience

This hotel is very nice but is really horrible for business travelers. If you are renting a car, it's not too bad but depending on the shuttle is torture. The hotel is very inconvenient to local restraunts and shopping. They do not have free wi-fi and their pay-by-the-day internet was down the entire duration of my stay. They do not offer a free breakfast and the restraunt hours are limited. They do offer a few PC's in the lobby but they were being used by teenagers morning, noon, and night. The shuttle is quite unreliable. I would rather stay at a less expensive hotel near shopping and dining and have the freedom of a rental car.

I was very impressed with his hotel. My husband was having surgery at Walter Reed Hospital and I was staying in the hotel. Now the hotel is about a 30 min drive to Walter Reed Hospital so that was going to be a huge expense on our family to get taxi's back and forth. Well the Hotel has a free shuttle to Walter Reed Hospital. So even thought it is a littl ways from the hospital is is well worth it to stay here. I was very happy with the staff also. They were very nice to me and my 3 yr old son. They would ask me everyday how my husband was and if there was anything else they could do for me. I ended up staying at the hotel for almost 3 weeks by the end of it, I am so glad that I chose to stay here. If I am ever in the area I will be staying there.

I had no idea before going there, but the hotel had a major renovation and everything is brand new!! They even have internet access in the lobby, so if you are stuck waiting for friends before you go out, you can check your email while waiting.

Although the hotel was in a good spot and for the most part clean, the air conditioning unit kept all four of us up all night long! it was set to AUTO and would come on with an enormous WHOOSH and they squeal and blow for about 5 mins and then go off. this went on all night long. We were told that was how AUTO worked. I don't think so, I've stayed in plenty of Sheraton's and the a/c didn't sound like that.

Pro - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable, free parking. Cons - Second floor room, impossible to sleep due to all night parties in conference rooms below (both nights), king bed in tiny room, had to pay for internet $9.95/day to third party, nearest restaurants 10+ minutes away, no shopping nearby, definitely would not stay here again.
