University Place Conference Ctr & Hotel, Indianapolis

I was more then impressed with the hotel it was very fancy and for a person from a small town i felt out of place but the hotel was so fabulous! they set us up in a double bed room when i bought the room and i called and reguested a king size and they said they probably wouldnt be able to do that but when we checked in we got it! the shuttle was a great help since we didnt know where we were going the only thing I had a problem with was one guy who parked the cars and stuff he was a jerk and had us take a cab who was his "buddy" we told him we wanted to go to mcdonals which i looked on my iphone and was only like 500 yards away and he took us over a mile away cost us more money then we had in cash and we ended up walking back in the rain so DONT TRUST THEM!!!!!! we should of just walked to the close one instead of listening to the stupid guy out front. but other then that we had an excellent stay and i would definitely go back!!!! they are located a little ways from downtown but really would be perfect for a summer stay to walk to places.

The room was nice enough, though we traveled from Chicago and the four star hotels here are much nicer. The biggest problem we had was with the customer service. When we checked in the man behind the desk pulled up our reservation and it was for two twin beds. I had called the week before and asked for a king sized non-smoking and had been told it was no problem -- it was our aniversary. Even though I had called a week earlier the guy behind the desk said he couldn't help us and that we could either keep the room with the two twin beds or pay $50 to upgrade to a suite. We decided to just stay where we were, but it did kind of take the wind out of our sails to know we would either be in one small bed or two seperate ones. I would not go back to this hotel.

While the staff has been nice, I am here for a week and need food before 8am and after 8pm. They don't have any shop or store open within the facility to purchase a quick snack before or after hours. They have no microwaves for guests who aren't in suites to use. Also, the bathtubs are a little scary. I am not really impressed...

When I went to Indianapolis for a convention with two other teachers, we did not make the reservations. We were a bit nervous about how far we were going to be from the convention center but the hotel runs a shuttle service - as needed. You simply call them and they send the shuttle as quickly as they can!! We simply parked our car - for a reasonable price - for the three days we were there and used the shuttle. The only bad thing was that the hallways got a little loud as guests were coming back into their room after dinner and any enterntainment. The hotel restaurants are both good - but I liked Chancellor's better. There is nothing I can say that would keep me from staying here. I just wish that I had time to walk around the campus - it is beautiful.

If you want to stay in downtown Indy, do not go to priceline and book a hotel. I got stuck at this place which is a mile from downtown. The management of this hotel should understand that when people want to stay downtown they do not want to be a mile away from everything. Please remove this hotel as a downtown hotel on priceline

The hotel and staff were nice. I would have liked to have had something for the teen guest such as a pool or hot tub. We were in town for the State Basketball Championship and of course we had some very restless teens.

The restaurant stops serving breakfast at 9:30AM, far too early especially for a Sunday when guests might be out late the previous night. The televised hotel tour indicates that breakfast is available until 10AM. After 9:30AM, guests have to drive somewhere to get breakfast, as there is nothing within walking distance. The foodcourt in the nearby Circle Center Mall isn't a practical alternative for breakfast since it doesn't open until 10AM during the week and noon on Sundays. Plus you have to pay for parking. Check-in time (4PM) is later and check-out time (11AM) is earlier than most hotels, especially true 4-star hotels. The location is not really in downtown Indy. If you are seeing a game or performance in the downtown area, don't expect to be able to walk from the hotel. The hotel is probably fine for business travelers who just want to get in and out quickly. If you're traveling on vacation and want a leisurely, relaxing stay, don't book a room at the University Place Conference Center & Hotel Indianapolis.

Could not believe how close to the hospital this was. From time left our room to hospital 5min. Shock look on our faces when opened the door and saw how beautiful it was. The staff was great. Had many questions answered and when ever needed something they were available. One staff member even warmed up soup for my daughter after restaurant hours. Hope we don't have to return but would stay here again and again.

Very friendly, helpful check-in, extremely clean room with quality white sheets and bedding. Free shuttle, lots of little touches like fresh flowers in lobby, cool sports based prints on walls. Our room had a flat screen type TV with a great picture and a fun radio/alarm clock with different styles of music to pick from. Even liked their bath mat, as cushy and white as one at home. The towels were even more luxurious than the ones at home. Just what a hotel stay should be!!

People want to stay close to a family member, who is in the IU Hospital, and this hotel gives no break in price to help the family! Most people are having a hard enough time financially while dealing with a sick loved one and this hotel could care less. What a shame!!
