EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS
By Connie, 4/5/12
My husband and I recommend President's Quarters Inn without hesitation. We just returned from a wonderful anniversary trip to Savannah, and a major highlight of our experience was our stay at President's Quarters. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and restful. Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely courtyard. There's nothing like starting your day with Eggs Benedict or Bananas Foster French Toast, now is there? The staff went out of their way to be helpful by making suggestions and reservations for us and even by providing cold drinks and cookies when we were tired from walking/sightseeing. They were friendly and courteous. The Inn has a perfect location. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't get in it again until we checked out, because so many fine restaurants, historic buildings, and shops were within easy walking distance. We also thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the other guests. The high-speed internet and the turn-down service (with delicious treats) were great amenities. It is rare when a place EXCEEDS expectations, but for us, the President's Quarters Inn and its competent, knowledgeable, friendly staff did so.

Wonderful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/21/11
Beautiful inn with charming staff. The location is excellent, a short walk to all the sites and they have their own parking lot! Yea! We stayed in the Richard Nixon, on the first floor and it was lovely. Breakfast was excellent-well prepared and presented, and we loved the wine and hors d'oeuvres in the late afternoon. This is the only inn we will stay in when we return yearly to Savannah!

oh yes!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/10
The Presidents Quarters Inn was amazing. From the time we walked through the doors and say hello to the inn keeper and staff to the time we walked out the doors, to say good bye to the inn keeper and staff we were totally trilled. We were in Savannah for a wedding and everyone in the wedding party wised they had stayed at The Presidnets Quarters Inn. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and we had turn down service every night with chocolate or pralines on our pillows....wow they were good! The breakfast was exellent and they even cooked a special breakfast for a person in our party that require a different menu. The southern hospitality that you would expect is shining at the Presidents Quarters Inn. Please, if your going to be in Savannah, stay here.....you will not be disappointed. bgiag

Wonderful local/beautifully remodeled Inn.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/27/10
Loved everything..... The current management has been in place over three years now and have done amazing things with the property!! They have 16 rooms not 19 as the current owner did not purchase the row house next to the Inn or the property/rooms above the 1790 Inn. There is not a pool or hot tub on the property, has not been for about 10 years or so. They offer a full plated breakfast option as well as the option of their homemade granola with fruit and bread of the day as well as coffee, hot tea, and juices served in the courtyard garden and breakfast room starting at 8am. Very centrally located to everything and staff is available to assist with tours and reservations as well as recommendations for things to see and do throughout the historic district and the whole of Savannah. Rooms are very spacious and bathrooms have tile floors and granite counter tops with tub and shower in them.

Exemplary Inn!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/10/08
We stayed at this Inn for our anniversary and it is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are all newly renovated, fresh, clean and the bathrooms are newly tiled with granite countertops and lighting is great! The appetizers and breakfast are very tasty and plentiful. The staff are well informed about the sites and what restaurants to visit. We liked Vic's on the River the food was excellent. The staff directed us to all the right places. The Innkeeper is very hands on and was very helpful with suggestions and made herself available to us during our stay. We were so sad to leave but are already looking for a reason to go back. I guess the south is where to go to get true hospitality and service!!

Excellent Bed and Breakfast!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/24/08
The Presidents'Quarters was a real find for my mother and me. We wanted to get away from the cold of the Northeast and spend a few days exploring Charleston and Savannah. I will have to say I greatly prefer Savannah and the Presidents'Quarters is a large part of the reason. First, the staff is simply amazing. From the moment we arrived until we left, they were so helpful and accomodating; making dinner reservations and great suggestions for sightseeing, shopping etc. Our room was a lofted suite with a living room area and had just been redecorated. The style is classy and very comfortable. The Inn is undergoing renovations and we were there as new carpet was being installed in the hallways. It was so beautiful and the workman did not compromise our stay at all. The renovations are scheduled to be completed in early March, and I would recommend you stay there if you are planning a trip to Savannah. The location is wonderful, the staff amazing and the Inn just beautiful.

5 Stars!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/21/08
I can't say enough about our stay at the President's Quarters Inn. Although there was renovations in the process, we were notified in advance of our stay and were given a choice of staying or relocating elsewhere. We decided we wanted to stay and we are so glad we did. From the moment we arrived at the Inn we were greeted by the staff and Innkeeper as if we were royalty. We stayed in the Kennedy suite with a balcony that overlooked the garden and Ogelthorpe Square. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was newly tiled and had beautiful granite countertops. The Inn's location is perfect for touring the historic district and they even have their own private parking lot!! The courtyard has a lovely gazebo and garden where we enjoyed our wine in the evenings. The Innkeeper joined us for the social hour and gave us great advice on restaurants, touring and shopping in the area. Great Southern Hospitality! We have already reserved our room for next year! Can't wait to go back! This place is a gem! Thanks for making our much needed trip so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

Exceptional!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/07
My wife and I stayed here for three nights in October and loved the Presidents' Quarters. We stayed in a room on the second floor that was large, nicely decorated and the king bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Staff are very professional, and know the city well. They made all our reservations for dinner, trolley tours, walking tours, etc. We were very pleased with their recommendations. The Inn is located in the heart of the Historic District, a close walk to everything and they have a parking lot! I don't know of another bed and breakfast in Savannah with parking and the city has a real parking problem. The breakfast was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit in the courtyard with our coffee and morning paper and wonder what the rest of the world was doing. This is an exceptional property in a great location at a price that won't break the bank. We will return and encourage others to stay here while in Savannah.

Great Stay at Presidents' Quarters! We look forward to many more!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/18/07
Great Location. Friendly and knowledgable staff about both the Inn and the city of Savannah. When we entered the Inn we were greeted by staff and shown a map of the Historic area. We were taken to our room and shown the ammenities within and reminded about times for breakfast, wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evening, and offered to help us with any dinner or tour reservations we may need. The rooms are nice sized, even large in most cases, compared to many Inns that I have stayed in traveling around the Southeastern US. The Inn is under new management as of April 2007 and according to staff the rooms are going to be redecorated and have new bathrooms soon. The serve a very nice breakfast that you can enjoy in the lovely courtyard garden or gazebo, in the sitting area of the lobby or take back to your room. I stayed in one of the main level rooms but several of their second and third floor rooms have balconies that face the courtyard and on the fourth floor I saw a room that has a living room area with half bath and a lofted bedroom and full bath upstairs. If you are not one the first floor they have a luggage rack if you have lots of luggage and an elevator if you stay on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floor. They offer a very nice wine and hors d'oeuvres time in the evening and the items served are different each day for both breakfast and the hors d'oeuvres. They also offer turndown service on your bed while you are out for the evening with sweets like Savannah Pralines or cookies on your pillow. We were able to walk everywhere from the Inn and that staff was able to make arrangements for us to be picked up at the Inn for a trolley tour and also a private carriage ride in the evening for a ghost tour. The staff offered to assist us with reservations and even had menus for most of the restaurants in the city to look at. We were glad to know that the Inn has a parking lot so that we did not have to worry about parking while we were at the Inn, which we had heard is sometimes an issue in Savannah. We did not bring our laptop but if we had there is wireless internet access in the Inn. My husband's work sometimes brings him to Savannah so we will keep this Inn in mind if he has overnight business as they have a great corporate rate during the week. We will be back to the Presidents' Quarters for both business and pleasure for future trips to Savannah and will tell everyone we know to stay at the Presidents' Quarters. As they update the rooms and the bathrooms we look forward to seeing the changes for our future stays. Kelly North Carolina

Exceptional Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/1/07
My first stay at the President's Quarters and I will stay again! Be prepared for exceptional service from the staff. My wife and I stayed in Suite 202 - John F Kennedy Suite, the suite was large, clean and well appointed. Legend has it this room is haunted by a little girl. We stayed on December 31, 2006 and rung in the new year in Savannah, the hotel is centrally located and most of historical Savannah is within walking distance.
