Great Stay at Presidents' Quarters! We look forward to many more!

Great Location. Friendly and knowledgable staff about both the Inn and the city of Savannah.
When we entered the Inn we were greeted by staff and shown a map of the Historic area. We were taken to our room and shown the ammenities within and reminded about times for breakfast, wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evening, and offered to help us with any dinner or tour reservations we may need.
The rooms are nice sized, even large in most cases, compared to many Inns that I have stayed in traveling around the Southeastern US.
The Inn is under new management as of April 2007 and according to staff the rooms are going to be redecorated and have new bathrooms soon.
The serve a very nice breakfast that you can enjoy in the lovely courtyard garden or gazebo, in the sitting area of the lobby or take back to your room.
I stayed in one of the main level rooms but several of their second and third floor rooms have balconies that face the courtyard and on the fourth floor I saw a room that has a living room area with half bath and a lofted bedroom and full bath upstairs. If you are not one the first floor they have a luggage rack if you have lots of luggage and an elevator if you stay on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floor.
They offer a very nice wine and hors d'oeuvres time in the evening and the items served are different each day for both breakfast and the hors d'oeuvres.
They also offer turndown service on your bed while you are out for the evening with sweets like Savannah Pralines or cookies on your pillow.
We were able to walk everywhere from the Inn and that staff was able to make arrangements for us to be picked up at the Inn for a trolley tour and also a private carriage ride in the evening for a ghost tour.
The staff offered to assist us with reservations and even had menus for most of the restaurants in the city to look at.
We were glad to know that the Inn has a parking lot so that we did not have to worry about parking while we were at the Inn, which we had heard is sometimes an issue in Savannah.
We did not bring our laptop but if we had there is wireless internet access in the Inn.
My husband's work sometimes brings him to Savannah so we will keep this Inn in mind if he has overnight business as they have a great corporate rate during the week.
We will be back to the Presidents' Quarters for both business and pleasure for future trips to Savannah and will tell everyone we know to stay at the Presidents' Quarters.
As they update the rooms and the bathrooms we look forward to seeing the changes for our future stays.
