Good though a bit expensive
Place was clean, free shuttle to/from airport and Port Everglades. Continental breakfast was very good and quite a big variety. One drawback: I had made a reservation at Alamo car rental, I asked Alamo if they had a free shuttle to airport and was mistakenly told "no". I made a reservation at the Kirk travel (KSA ??) and told them I needed to go from Ft. Everglades to Alamo after my cruise, they charged me $16 (for 2 seniors). Upon coming back from the cruise and being taken to the airport, which was a 5-minute ride, I was then told at the Alamo counter that they DID have a free shuttle. It left a bad taste in my mouth that they charged me for the shuttle. Otherwise, the hotel was fine, though there was nothing to see around it without needing transportation, but if you want it only because of location to airport and/or cruise port, it is great.

Great Value Can't Wait to Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/08
Stayed at this newly remodeled hotel before and after cruise form Ft. Lauderdale. Service was very good, free transportation, room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Excellent bar and barbecue at the poolside. Will definitely stay there again, and recommend to others.

April 30-May 1, 2005
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/08
Hi I stayed at this hotel for the Air & Sea Show Weekend in 2005, The hotel was in great condition! We got into the room and it was great, comfortable beds and nice furniture. So we chilled out for a while but when I was getting ready to take a shower the water was boiling hot and didn't. When my grandmother went to wash her hands she burned them. We didn't say anything, so we slept. The next morning we went to brush our teeth, the water still HOTTT!! We called the front desk and complained and found out we weren't the only ones. I guess the whole hotel only has hot water. Other than that the hotel is great, it had a great free full breakfast and had a nice pool area!

Satisfied

The room was clean and fresh. Staff was courteous,we got a room on the ground floor, quite a clean room but we had a preference for a room on the second floor or just about any upstairs room. Our request was immediately dealt with in the most courteous manner.Breakfast could be a little better. Not sure if it was because I was late. There was not much variety. Would definately go back.

Horrible stay!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/07
This place is dingy. The service was horrible. The room was musty. The carpet was filthy and had an odour... the place was just not clean. Forget the breakfast, the food was not inviting. The eggs were just "dropped" in a container and not presentable. My recommendation is that you spend a bit more and get an enjoyable place to stay. This place is not worth the $69.00 and $79.00 per night. The only good place at this hotel is the lobby area. This is not worth two star..... Arlene.

Don't Rely On Shuttle
By Nana, 06/19/07
All in all not a bad place to stay, but I will warn you that the shuttle service for those returning from a cruise isn't prompt or reliable. After repeated calls to the hotel for pick up and promises "someone is on the way" we ended up having to take the last taxi remaining at the cruise terminal. It was well after midnight and I would have been left standing there at the terminal with 3 other women until someone from the hotel finally showed up. Although the GM was apologetic the next AM, this should have never occurred.

WILL NEVER GO BACK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/07
Started with the shuttle, was told 10 minute wait, it was a half hour. Got to the hotel, checked right in and got our room key. After walking to the far back of the building, 4th floor, the card key wouldn't work. My husband went down to get help, was told we were putting it in wrong and sent him back, alone, to try again. I flagged down a maintenance man with a walkie talkie. He called the office and reminded them that this was the room who's door lock was not working, After 10 minutes of him trying to convince the office that the lock was broken, they finally gave us a new room. Then we had to wait for them to bring us a key for the new room. While waiting I tried the safe to store our cruise tickets in so we could go eat. The safe was broke. I flagged down the same maintenance man. He checked it out and said "Yes, it's broke". Still no room key. I called the desk. Was told they would be right there. 10 minutes, no key. Called the desk and told them we would pick it up as we were on our way to get supper, no they would send it. Another 10 minutes and it finally showed up. We could go eat supper. Really, really poor customer service. They should have know this room was out of service and put us in a different room. They had to argue with the maintenance man for 10 minutes, before he could convince them. What's wrong with these people. Not a good start to our vacation.

What a HORRIBLE experience!
By Holly, 08/31/06
First off, our rooms were not ready on time, at 3, as promised. We were so tired that we just wanted to get into rooms, and had to separate our family and get rooms on opposite sides of the hotel. Secondly, the toilet overflowed TWICE in our room... and no one had even used it the first time! Next, our A/C barely worked, and it was 90 degrees outside My brother's room's TV remote didn't work, and it took him all day (3 requests) to request new batteries till finally his girlfriend went down and picked them up. They claim they have a "free hot breakfast"... which consisted of stale muffins/donuts, this horrible looking mixture of scrambled eggs with bits of grey-looking sausage meat in it and diced green peppers and dixie cups full of what I assume was waffle batter for the waffle iron. Their pay-per-view movies were RIDICULOUS, anywhere from 10-15.00 for a simple regular-run movie. There were broken appliances out in the hallways the whole 3 days we were there, (for example, a broken A/C, a broken microwave AND a mini-fridge). When we checked out, we were in such a rush to leave that I later called and told them about the problems we had. They took 20% each room bill, which was proper seeing that this is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. I don't reccommend this to ANYONE... and, although I know all Comfort Inns aren't the same, I would be wary about ALL Comfort Inns from now on!

Whats That Smell?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/06
The smell almost knocked me down when I opened the door to the room. I can't even tell you what it smelled like, but it wasn't good. Asked for a roll away, got it. What I didn't ask for was pillows and a blanket. Night staff said that could not provide, no key to Housekeeping closet. Buffet was extremely fair. Transfers to port were OK, a little unorganized. If you didn't ask who's going where you weren't going to get any info.. I was disappointed that AAA booked us at this place. Never again! TD

mediocre
By Lori, 03/15/06
We had troubles with housekeeping. We had no towels on arrival, and had problems with continuing to get clean towels. The staff at the front desk seemed slow to move and accomodate. The cleanliness of the room was questionable. The carpets made our socks dirty. We were put on hold every time we called the front desk. Most mornings when we were eating by the pool, the pool man would be hosing the area down without consideration for the guests. The pub by the pool didn't open until 4 pm. The breakfast was good.
