Angsana Resort and Spa, Ellis Beach

We spent a week here over Christmas and it was a really lovely, tranquil place to stay. Our 1-bedroom suite was positively huge by US-standards, with a nice sectional couch for lounging, reading, etc. It is located right on the beach and the spa treatment was excellent. The service was also very good - we both enjoyed reading on the couch, but the lighting wasn't great and when we reported that to the front desk, they brought a plug in lamp that fixed the issue right way. Dislikes? The bed was kind of hard and not the most comfortable to me. Although the lunch room service was excellent, I found the dinner to be a little lacking, esp compared to some of the other places we ate in Palm Cove. The pool was nice but didn't have as much character as some of the other hotels in the area, esp if you are travelling with kids. Overall, though, I really enjoyed the stay and would def recommend it to others who are looking for a place to get away from it all.
