Ibis Avignon Centre Gare, Avignon

I have stayed 3 times at this hotel. It is a short walk from Avignon rail station and from the shuttle arrival point for Avignon's TGV station which is now located outside of Avignon. It is relatively quite being outside the ramparts, and is also relatively inexpensive compared to most other hotels nearby. The trade off is that you do not have the same type of quaintness you would otherwise experience if you stayed in a boutique style hotel in the centre-ville. But the facilities are modern, inexpensive and you can use that dough to eat and enjoy all there is to see around Avignon, which is one of the easiest places to use as a homebase for exploring Provence. Next time I go, I'll still probably stay here.
