Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapids

I stayed at the Hawthorn Suites with my family when we were in town for a family reunion. The room was nicely-sized for 4 of us and we thought it was very clean and comfortable; we felt right at home. My children really enjoyed the indoor pool and it wasn't too crowded. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accomodate us (extra towels, linens, toiletries..etc.) The kitchenette in our room was well-equipped and nice; I was able to make dinner on Saturday night and didn't have any problems. It was like being at home! The Hawthorn is also pet friendly and we brought our dog along with us, which the kids were happy about. The complimentary breakfast was much better than most hotel breakfasts. There were eggs, bacon and sausage as well as an array of cold items and fruit. I have two very picky children and this went over very well and all were more than pleased. They were even excited about breakfast the 2nd morning, which came as a pleasant surprise to me! Overall, great experience and we will certainly be recommending this to our family in the area. The price was fabulous for how well we were treated and how nice everything was. 5 Stars!
