Great place to stay
By Cathy, 3/21/12
Was greeted at the front desk with a warm friendly smile by a young man name Jonathan. He answered all our questions and went out of his way to see that we had all that we needed. ALL of the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. All in all I will stay here again and recommend for others to stay as well.

inconvenient
Hotel is very inconvenient! The metro is about a mile.away from.hotel. I read a lot of reviews saying this hotel is close to city so i thought it woudnt be that bad staying in the outskirts of town. But walking 6 long. Blocks in the freezing ny winter was not much what I expected.

Great place great value
By Pete, 12/12/11
Lots of younger international guests that reminded me of a hostel but with the full amenities of a standard hotel. Free breakfast, convenient to subway, very clean and the free parking was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Located in a nice safe neighborhood in Queens.

Unique
By Antoria, 6/21/11
My brother and I visited Queensboro Hotel on a brother/sister vactaion. The pictures online are inaqureate they look nothing like the hotel at all! However the workers there are very nice and helpful! I decided to visit New York online i was given step by step directions from Jose and another guy that works the front desk at night! The breakfast is better than most hotels but lack fresh fruit other than apples and oranges. The hotel was very clean and was cleaned on a daily basis! I would recommend the hotel to anyone! The only problem with the hotel that was a major problem for me but probably not for others. Its is secluded away from everything! Everything is a Subway ride even to have a drink at a nice sports bar you have to leave Queens to get it but other than that Great Hotel!!!

Good Value-Close to Manhattan
By John, 4/22/11
Very reasonable. By no means a Luxury hotel but a good value. 10-15 minutes into Manahttan over bridge. Could have used train but didn't bother with figuring it out. Seems to be going trough a transistion of new management taking control in recent past. Management very pleasant and accomodatiing. Real nice breakfast with hot waffles, eggs, sausage and the rest of the typical continental breakfast fare. If want a good value, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly service check this place out. Only issue at all was very tight parking. But we got by.

GREAT CHOICE!
By Elena M Garcia P, 10/5/09
We stayed there for 4 nights. The hotel is very comfortable. People are very nice and made us feel at home. Breakfast is great! The neighborhood is quiet and safe --we walked around even at night! There are fast food restaurants nearby, and you can have food delivered to the hotel. All in all, worth the money!

Train is too far from the hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/9/08
There is no kettle, no safe box in room and all the safe boxes behind the reception are fully occupied the time we visited . We were so struggling to keep our money and passports, in the end we left our passports at the "reception area" for 5 days. Staff are impolite, unfriendly and not so professional ( comparing to london )! Air conditioner is a bit noisy during night time. The train is too far from th hotel, over 15 mins walking if you walk at normal pace. Didn't feel like walking back to hotel in evening after 4-5 hrs shopping down town. There is no internet access only if you bring your own laptop, no internet access in reception's pc either, can't find the address of famous factory outlets through the staff, quite disappointing! Not reccomended for anyone who nearly £90( GBP) per night with such a poor service!!!

Great Stay Overall
By jonih, 8/16/08
Traveled with a group of 8 women and stayed here to visit NYC. We felt safe in this neighborhood even at night we walked to the subway. The subway was only about 10-15 walk from hotel. The breakfast was decent. The only problem we had was teh cab from LGA airport had a time finding the location for some reason and had to call the main station and they had to call the head quarters and took half hour longer to get to than it should have. I don't know why they had such a hard time finding it by hte adress. When they found out it was located off Queens Blvd and 39th st. they had no problem finding it. Overall, great location quiet and nice staff. Would recommend and stay again.
