Location is everything

The scenery is jaw-dropping, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other. I was there with a group of 30. The chateau I stayed in was very roomy with four bedrooms, three baths, and a kitchen/living area. Very clean premises and a tasty, varied spread for meals.
The best part was the silence. We could not hear our neighbors or even noises from up or down the beach. The other buildings in the area are few and spread out, and the Ramada resort definitely makes use of its ample space, keeping everything apart and well designed. The beach is beautiful and natural looking, with gorgeous rocks and shells thrown up by the tide. The hotel staff was very accomodating, and an evening on the terrace with live music and regional dances was great.
The monastaries of St. Anthony and St. Paul are within driving distance and well worth a visit. There may not be too much else to do in the area - we stayed one night and did not explore - but for a stopover, or just pure relaxation, sun and sand, the Ramada is wonderful. I was there in November and though the water was cool, the sun was warm enough to sit on the beach in light clothes and bask. And it was not cold enough to prevent wading.
