Okay, but you can find better.
By MICHAEL, 06/13/09
We stayed at the Marriott Legends Edge Bluebelle the first week in June. The hotel was an okay place to stay. You can definatly find better if you want to stay close to the beach. There is no beach here. (except a gross looking beach that takes two miles to get to that has alot of seashells with hermit crabs in them) It basically just looks like an abondoned beach. The beds are very comfortable. I thought that the pools were pretty good. They have a 1 1/2 feet small pool for toddlers. Some of the games in the "maze" room are interesting and the lady that works in there was extremly nice. They have grills that you can cook on. So basically it's a pretty good hotel, Just you can find better if you mostly there to go to the beach.

Loved it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/08
The service was excellent from the front door to the room, restaurants (Kingfish and Limes) and especially the spa. The spa staff was superb. I will definitely be back. I loved the secluded feel yet still close to everything. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Now that you have the boat to Shell Island, I can't wait to return.

We will be going again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/07
The hotel was beautiful. The area was away from all of the hustle and bustle of other tourists with a fully stocked kitchen and all you need is food there isn't a need to be near restaurants. There are other restaurants in the area but cooking yourself is great and saves $$$$. There is a spa and indoor pool at the partner hotel next door which is great and the beaches are not that far away just follow the signs. This is a perfect place for families groups of friends and romantics. A great money saver. We went there to celebrate my birthday and I didn't want to leave. I will be back soon. And we also thought there was going to be a storm but the weather was great. The staff was also polite and provided towels for your beach visit.

don't believe what they sell you
By jerry, 07/09/07
We stayed at Marriots in bay point 06/27-29 and was given the worst expensive room in the hotel. When we made our reservation through Marriotts system, there are a couple of things i insist on. honesty and acountability. Marriotts were unable to comply with my requests of a room with unobstructured view of bay and please not next to ice/vending machines and elevators. I was asssured that i would get what i asked for. For $219. per night i felt like i should get what i paid for. not. I was assured that room was good, full view and not next to machines, etc.... wrong. upon arrival, i asked again to not be placed next to machines, elev and a full view. The lady at the front desk scratched her head and left to go to the back office. Upon her return, she explained to bad. Your room is everything you did not want. There were no other same-same rooms available to switch us to. There were rooms that did not have view, in another building or was next to little go cart road they use there. There no talks of any price reduction offered until the next afternoon when the hotel decided they did not have a room with a view. The view that we had was half view, right next door was the ice machine/vending machine. The beds were motel six style, you remember the sway back style? thats them. The food was over priced, althought the angus beef was delicious but it was drowned in a pool of "mashed" potatoes and extremly small asparagus/brocilli spears,it was not worth the price. The breakfast was decent if you paid the right price for it. I feel that if Marriotts had informed me of not having available what i was attempting to reserveor i would not have made my reservation with them. They lied to me to get that room sold for the week-end and when confornted with my question of why i was given the "o well" maybe tomorrow someone won't show and we can swith u then. I felt like i was already being switched like a dog and was expected to like it. I don't. Marriott you run a shoddy operation and you have no honesty, integrity or accoountability. You ruined my week end and you dont care. I hope somone reads this review and decides to book their room/stay with a more reputable resort/hotel chain.

Get connected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/06
I liked the resort. It's a great place to stay if you have to be away from home for business. What I didn't like is that you have to pay for internet service. Being that I traveled here for business, that piece of news ruined my stay. If they want to attract business events, having free internet access will be important. Most hotels offer it, why not a Marriott?

super family resort
By Great Storm, 05/25/06
The entire family had a great time. There is a wonderful place for kids on the calm bay beach. It is almost as nice as the historic Grand Hotel in Alabama. The contrast is in the new versus the old. If you are going to the area and do not need big waves, especially with small kids -- you will truly enjoy the elegant calm.

noisy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/06
construction right next door. Work started early, no peace and quiet. They need to shut down the wing adjacent to the site work or offer a discount rate to put up with the inconvience.

Holistic Experience
By Denise, 05/24/05
My husband and I really enjoy Marriott Baypoint. I am a massage therapist and this resort is conducisive to the holistic lifestyle. Peace and tranquility await you at this particular resort. I have traveled to many places, but the place I most often request to return to is Marriott Baypoint. The layout of the resort is amazing. You can enjoy private moments on your own private beach. The pool area and the entertainment provided are exceptional. My husband loves the golf course. I love the peace and tranquility. Everything is right on the property. We drive to Panama park the car and never re-enter it until its time to leave for home. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. They remembered us, which was very impressive. I love this place!! You will to if you visit just once. But once will not be enough, its amazing. Denise R. Taylor
