Hockey in Hallways

I had hockey being played in hallway Friday night kids also were running up and down halls. After management put up notice Sat. morning hockey stopped but loud talking was clearly audible Sat. night. Dicussed problem with staff Saturday and upon checkout and only got a "what are ya going to do attitude:. Next years trip was dicussed on way home but a different hotel will be in plans !

Beware of large groups renting especially kids

Make sure to call ahead and make sure they have not rented out a book of rooms to sports teams. We spent two different times when they had rented out 10-15 rooms to hockey teams and no one watched these kids and they took over the hotel. Parents did nothing and neither did the hotel staff. Parents took over the lobby for their meetings and nightly parties. Kids ran up and down the stairs, hallways. Trashed the pool. Out in the parking lot making alot of noise. We were worried about our car. Could not get near the morning breakfast area. When I emailed them after our stay to complain, noone bothered to respond.

outstanding hotel

we usually stay at the Marriott hotels on upper Peach Street and the stay is usually horrid. We happened to find the Fairfield Inn Marriott by accident and we are beyond pleased. This place is immaculate. The staff has to be the most accomodating and friendly we have ever encountered. Even management comes out at breakfast and greets guests which is not something you see very often. You can walk to the mall and restaurants and it is a nice quiet area and very safe. We will never stay on upper Peach Street again.

Good, not great

The location of the hotel in Erie was good. It was close to shopping and restaurants. The front desk staff was polite and courteous, the room staff - not so much. Not even a response when saying hello as you pass them in the hallway. Prior to arriving I had booked online and had requested a room on an upper floor, pillow type etc (all things they asked about in the online booking). Upon my arrival, none of that information was known. The free wireless internet access was a big plus. Based on price, location, morning breakfast etc - I would stay here again.

This hotel was the best!

As a visitor from Canada this past weekend I must comment on this hotel. We were accomodated beyond belief. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Staff went above and beyond. I have already booked for next year! Would not stay anywhere else!! Thanks for your hospitality! from your Canadian friend

Great place to stay. Close to everything. Friendly staff. WE've stayed here probably 10 times in the past year and have always had a pleasant stay.

Wonderful Stay!

I have stayed at the Erie Fairfield several times for shopping trips. The rooms are very clean (I'm picky!) and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is fresh and the whole hotel is decorated very nicely.

Poor housekeeping

The sheets on the bed did not appear to have been changed. The coffee pot was nasty with dust and water or something else. Management did not schedule enough staff to manage front desk. Staff was pleasant but obviously stressed by trying to manage switchboard, checking guest in and taking care of guest special request. This is not what I expect from "Marriott". I will not stay at this property again.
