Not held up to Hiltons Good Name
I came to this hotel on business. Being that it was the end of the year, my wife and young son came with me being on the road so often. For my son there was cartoon network (too violent for a young child) and PBS. He likes the shows on PBS, but after the first day the sound went out. When I asked about it the workers were like, " ya, it happens." So we had to purchase the $10.00 movie package each day for a week for him to watch 6 basic cartoons. When I complained a second time again, I was told "Oh, thats too bad". I feel it was a cheap shot to force me to pay for a carton pay per view because the normal channel would not get any sound. Just feel like I was set up.
Other than that, the rooms were clean. There isn't a whole lot in the area to do close except go over to Kmart or Tops and buy food. You have to drive a short distance for anything.
I normally stay at another hotel chain for work. This hotel was the closest and best rate for my business trip. Other than that, I am sorry I had to stay here.
Service - 2. They would listen, they did fix another issue I had. I would descibe the staff as "polite" jerks. General breakfast, but dont be close to 10am or it becomes a mad dash to get something before it all goes away.
Cleanliness - 4. The rooms were clean.
Location - 2. It was close for work purposes, but other than that, there is a neighborhood all around and nothing really to eat, shop, or do in 5 to 10 miles.
Value - 2. I was given a good rate that was negotiated for work. If i had to pay standard prices I would have been gravely disappointed.
Over all I do not feel this held up to the hiltons good name.
