Country Inn and Suites by Carlson, Big Flats, Horseheads

We have stayed her emaybe 6 times and this last time we noticed some slipping of the condition of the hotel. Door in our bathroom did not close and we struggled with the door of our room, A/C was a little tempermental and turned off and on frequently! TV's need an update big time. Staff is helpful and friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was alright and did the trick. Free internet (yes!) and cookies (great). We are returning in the fall. It is convenient to shopping and restaurants and to attractions. We stay here while visiting our daughter's college and they are always very helpful there with anything relating to the school. I will stay here again but hope they can do some small updates. I do notice they jack up prices in the summer and this makes it not worth it but the area may just be expensive in the summer with the finger lakes.

I had a wonderful two day stay. The hotel was spacious and well kept. Bill at the front desk was the picture of perfect customer service. He knew I was stressed out and used humour to make me feel comfortable and at home, as well as providing me with privacy for a restful stay. The breakfast was good, the pool was clean. I really felt right at home....thank you.

This is an all around nice hotel. Everything was very clean, pool is a great place to relax after a long day of galavanting. Houskeeping was very clean and orderly. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. Hotel is not exactly located in the middle of a major town, but there is an Outback Steakhouse across the street as well as a large shopping mall with plenty of shopping available right up the road. Hotel is also about 30 mins from the wine country. I would not not recommend on planning to drive if you are going to taste...designate a driver!
