Meadow View Inn is pure ZEN! After indulging in Meadow View Inn's serenity, scenery, family hospitality, peace and purposeful absence of hotel-like noise pollution (tv's, radios, phones) you, too, will leave enriched and thoroughly relaxed. The staff go out of their way to accommodate and are very knowledgeable about area history, happenings, to-do's. This is the perfect atmosphere to self-reflect; hike their 33+ acre mountainous property; create music, photography, literary works or art; enjoy nature; horseback ride; feed carrots to their rescue goats; enjoy their mineral well water and escape life's hectic hustle/bustle. Julian restaurants, shops, happenings are just minutes from the Inn. Meadow View Inn guests are respectful towards one another and keep noise levels down thus adding to your peaceful stay. This place is dog friendly too-with the usual pet restrictions of course. They also offer pampering amenities such as jacuzzi/fireplace suites and a discount to the nearby upscale-quality Jeremy's On The Hill restaurant. This would be the perfect place for a catered event, wedding, family-reunion, business workshop (they have conf rooms), college club gettogether, social/civic club outing or spiritual retreat. The family who run the place are fantastic! The rooms are clean and spacious. Very relaxing and just a mile or so walk from town.

I love the coziness of the rooms and the friendliness of the family who runs and owns the property. I always feel like I can take a breath and relax upon arrival to this wonderful place. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is accommodating.

First off the grounds are unbelievably tranquil and beautiful. We live next to three 5 star hotels and they don't hold a candle to Angels Landing. Additionally the price is right for what is offered. Now if you go here expecting "resort amenities" you will be let down. The rooms are worn and dated and the Celestial buildings well, has a terrible sulpher smell. if these are things that you can accept then by all means visit Angels Landing. The staff are very gracious and the family owned restaurant is terrific! We ate there both nights. I would recommend Angels Landing to friends who are not too snobbish about accommodations for sure. Very lovely and peaceful, especially if you live in the city, but the downside is dealing with the things we never think about in the city -- the "mountain" water with sulphur smell and brown color, which you don't want to drink no matter how good for you they say it is; the "whirlpool tub" that together with the brown water, does not make for a very romantic hot tub session. Also, there was a "cafe" window, but no food was ever cooked or served when we were there, there was no concierge or child care facilities (other than a petting zoo with bitey, but cute, animals, and a very sweet lady who gave us a map of the whole four blocks of Julian). On the other hand, great, comfy beds, wonderfully friendly people, lovely scenery, and complete silence and solitude -- no tvs or phones, which you won't even miss after an hour or so.

This place is not advertised truthfully. Their brochure looks nothing like the facilities. They lack of services, mainly in the cleaning area. I would never recommend this place.

My wife loves this resort. It has to be one of the top 5 resorts we have ever stayed at.Dan and Theresa Manley make you feel like family.

We went for a wedding and our group took the entire place. The wedding itself was beautiful and the staff fantastic. However, in the summer it is miserable. There is no a/c in the lodge area and even with fans it is unbearable once the doors are closed. In addition, the well system had a terrible sulpher smell. In winter it is probably a beautiful place but don't go in the summer.
