Holiday Inn Express And Suites, Emporia

I thought for the price the room $99.00 plus tax per night on a Wednesday was a little high for an older building. Good thing we only had to stay one night. I would stay again if I had to but would plan on going further down the road next time if possible. However Montana Mike's restaurant next door was fabulous.

We came to the Holiday Inn about 11:00 PM and asked for the rate. The girl at the counter said it was $89.66. I said no thanks and started to leave. She stopped me and said $70.00 for the room plus tax because it was so late. So we purchased the room for $79.66.About ten minutes later I checked my account with my laptop and the Holiday Inn charged $89.66 so I went back to the front desk and said why did you over charge? She said there was a $10 service charge to use my card. So I said I'll pay in cash and skip the $10 charge.But then she didnt credit my card. So I went back to the desk in the morning and asked for the charged to be dropped from my card.She wasnt sure if she could do it so i asked for cash back plus the $10 so the charge was even with the card. Well I recived the Cash back for the full amount. I thought whew all done no problem.So then I check my account three days later and the Holiday Inn placed two more charges on my card. One for $79.66 and one for $10. So i found the bill and called the Holiday Inn number at the bottom and recived a message the phone number was disconnected. And I never recived the credit back on my card still. So I"ll never never use that hotel.
