Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim, Garden Grove

Small swimming pool, inconvenient, dark parking lot,small rooms, coffee shop is closed when you want the coffee shop to be opened, boring place. The only saving grace to the location of the hotel is Target across the street from the Hotel, Disneyland is down the street, across the Hotel parking lot is Joe's Crab Shack (weak drinks), Red Robin (yuk), and a few other neighboring restaurants nearby. Ho-hum . . .

After calling the hotel on our arrival date early in the afternoon to see about checking in late, we were told our room was paid and garuanteed late arrival, and they had plenty of rooms. Upon arrival, we were only offered the option of comfort suite, room with a fold out couch for a bed. When we declined this, we were put up in another hotel that had a room with real bed, but not very nice.Fotunately Hotels .com was able to find us a suitable hotel for our next nights stay.

Everything is good except for parking situation. The small parking in the front is reserved for vallet only. Self-parking is behind the hotel - to get to the parking lot, you would have to go through the front or side door, and walk a good distance. Having two kids loading and unloading all the stuff was tiring.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable and all of the staff were most helpful, courteous and went out of their way for us, with smiles, every day of our 10 day stay. We can't say enough good about our first time visit to California and our excellent stay at the Crowne Plaza of Garden Grove. We would definetly stay there again and recomend this fabulous hotel to our friends with total confidence. Thank You All at The Crowne Plaza for a most memorable stay. Dana & Jim from New York.

I had a terrible experience at the Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim; avoid this hotel for business travel. The Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim is far away from Disneyland and the Convention Center. They advertise that they are less than 1 mile from the convention center. It is actually nearly 2 miles and walking takes over 30 minutes. The walk is along a busy street and is quite unpleasant. There are hotels FAR closer that are nicer and cost less. Contrary to their advertising, the Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim does not have a shuttle to the convention center. The Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim had a rude front desk receptionist. Upon realizing how far the hotel was from everything, she refused to help with a shuttle, and then refused to let me cancel my reservation. The front desk folks had very little experience with the area. They were only able to recommend the two restaurant within eye site of the front door. The Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim valet parking is expensive and has very limited hours. If you decide to valet park your car, they charge you by the day whether or not the attendant is there to help you or not. Two of the three days I was there I had to park my car myself AND also pay the charge. The Crowne Plaza Resort Anaheim is average to below average for the area. The rooms were ok but over priced. I spent a lot of my time at the Hilton during the week because this hotel is so far away. They were far more helpful AND had better prices. The name is also misleading. The Crowne Plaza "Resort" Anaheim there is nothing resort like about the hotel. It is nothing more than a basic hotel. With as many hotels as their are in the area stay somewhere else.

This hotel provides a free shuttle to the Disneyland resort all day long from opening to closing. The hotel provides amenities to suit all your needs: iron and board, coffee pot, and Internet.
