Deceitful, Creepy and A Big Scam
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/24/09
I stayed at Quality Inn, Goodlettsville TN overnight on Friday, and had the worst experience. I tried to contact the owner but the manger would not provide any information. The main office suggested I contact the Chamber of Commerce. I picked up a coupon booklet at a rest area. I called the hotel prior to arriving. I was told rooms were 64.00. I told the man on the telephone I had a coupon for 54.00/night. he said ok. We arrived at the hotel and he said no coupons on Friday or Saturday. I told him the coupon allowed the use on Friday and Saturday. By the way, I think there were 3 cars in the parking lot. He said no coupons. I said ok, thank you, since I had a booklet full of coupons for nearby motels, I turned to leave, he said no leave, I call manager, and he pretended to dial the manager and the said. "Manager said ok". We booked the room. At 11:30pm we awoke to loud vulgar language, guys clincking bottles, the television was loud, and women using foul language. I will not go into detail but there was a bachelor party going on next door. Finally at 2 am, Sunny knocked on the door and told them to keep it down and not disturb the neighbors. If we had not driven for 12 hours, I would have left. Upon check out the bill was 67.00 not the 54.00. I reminded him that I gave him a coupon. He ask me to see the coupon and I again told him that he had it. He wanted to see the booklet it came out of. He started to get loud and rude. I also, told Sunny we did not sleep, since we had a bachelor party with in the room next to us. We are 2 middle age women. Like I said, there were on 3 cars in the lot. Why not put them on the end and not bother anyone? Sunny said why you did not call me. I told him I heard him and saw him there several times telling them to keep it down. He was very defensive and denied everything. Very sneaky, creepy, and deceitful! Upon arriving home, I contacted the motel to request the owner information. The man on the phone “Rocky”, aka Sunny Chokski ask what this was about. I told him I need the owner information and he refused telling me the owner would not talk to me and would not be in the office until Tuesday. He would not provide any information and was rude and gave me the run around. I contacted Horizon Motel and they suggested I contact the Chamber of Commerce. I will not stay there again.

Caution - major problems
By Marilyn, 11/26/07
Nov 2007 - 2 rooms rented for 2 nights because AAA gave it 3 stars (???) The 1st night, one of the rooms had dark stuff dripping out of a vent and the room smelled like sewer gas. It got worse overnight, so in the morning when we reported it, they offered to move our two rooms upstairs. We were glad to move since the other room on the first floor had standing water in the tub due to alignment of the tub. When we arrived back at the hotel for our 2nd evening, we discovered that the room that they had moved us to DID NOT HAVE A WORKING HEATER UNIT. They offered to move us again but since it was now 11:00pm, we just asked for blankets since who know what a 3rd move would bring. Electricity was also a problem - several of the outlets were "loose" making it hard to turn the table lights on. Regarding the swimming pool / hot tub. Pool was fine, hot tub was steaming - way too hot for guests to do anything but a quick dip. Staff came and said 103 to 104 was the correct temperature. Regarding breakfast: (1-10 = 3) Their "hot protein breakfast" consisted of boiled eggs and the usual dry cereal and "make your own waffle" (one iron = long line). The juice was watered-down. The coffee was good. The positives: There were 4 pillows on each double bed. When we reported that a sheet had a big hole in it, they did exchange it out quickly. This was our 2nd time trying a "Choice" Brand hotel. I sure hope they aren't all as bad as this one. This vacation wore us out.
