Holiday Inn Express Universal Orlando, Orlando

We loved this hotel. Great staff and the suite we stayed in had enough room for 2 adults and 3 kids. The breakfast saved us sooooo much money and the breakfast staff was a lot of fun. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here in March and again last week. Staff is awesome and the breakfast was great. We are going back in October for Halloween Horror nights and staying here again.

My family and I were booked here through the Universal Studios agents. We thought it had to be good, or they wouldn't use them. Boy were we wrong. It appeared clean, for all intents and purposes to the naked eye, but the beds had these tiny bugs, which we now know are bed bugs. The cleaning staff blew our complaints off, then to make matters worse, the heat didn't work in our room (there were a couple of cool nights), but it did set off the smoke detector. In our hurry to change rooms, we forgot a few small items. We asked for our items for 3 days, and never got them. When we go to checkout, the housekeeping manager said "we will mail them to you if we find them". That did not go over well, so I finally complained loud enough to have a manager come. Once they did, the manager instructed the housekeeping manager to find the articles we had been asking for for 3 days. She did, in 5 minutes. How do you find something you claim to not have or know it's location in 5 minutes? Breakfast was well put together, except the toaster didn't work. All that money that people were paying to stay there, and they couldn't afford a toaster? Or two, since the lines for it were long. Of course if it takes 5-10 minutes (no exaggeration) to toast bread, and then it only toasts one side, I can see how lines were long. And the milk was always just one day from the expiration date, like they got the leftovers from a school or something. The kiosk downstairs was supposed to have our park tickets, THEY DIDN'T. They sent us to three different places before we finally got them. Overall, I would not stay there again. But if you are looking for something less expensive, its not too awful bad. Just don't try to use heat, toast, milk, and bring something to kill the bugs on the bed. Maybe a lice shampoo?

After staying at another motel on I-Drive for 4 days which was awful we decided to move to this hotel. It was very clean and the clerks were very helpful. It was well worth the extra money. We also appreciated that they had guest laundry facilities which were well kept also. It is very close to Universal and easily accessable to Disney via I 4. We would defintely stay at this hotel again.

I stayed this hotel for 5days. Front desk ladies were really nice and kind!! Location is close to Universal Studio, super market and restaurants. Just next to Wendy's. Free shuttle bus to Universal Studio. room is simple, small and cleanliness is ok. i will stay here again whenever i go to Universal Studio.

This hotel is in an excellent location and our room was nice,large and recently remodeled. Although we tried to check in after 3pm our room was not ready and we had to kill time for about an hour which was disappointing after an 8 hour drive. One complaint was the maid service. It was hit or miss as to whether supplies would be replaced and we had to seek them out several times. The pool is also small and was frequently inhabited by ducks. The wireless internet did not work on the upper floors

Stayed there from 23-26 November 2006 GOOD POINTS Staffs are friendly Affordable price Free breakfast 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. (different choices from cereals to Danish to make your own waffles) Free Internet access They have a small pool, an exercise and a game room 20 minutes walk to Universal Wendy’s, right next to the hotel (opens until 1 a.m.). Walgreen’s and few restaurants about 5 minutes walk from Sleep Inn. BAD POINTS Should place family with children on their own floor. Children running around in hallway. BUT This place is DEFINATELY RECOMMENDED (for people who are NOT picky)!

I would never stay there again. They tried to charge me for my room and someone elses since we are both from the same state. The maids did not leave any tolet paper in our room and I called to get some. 30 minutes later no one had brought any up so I had to go down and get some.

Stayed at this hotel for a few days over Labor Day Weekend, and we were very happy with our choice! The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. The free breakfast they serve each morning was good and had plenty of choices. The location is great too...they have a shuttle to Universal, but if you choose to walk instead it only takes around 15 minutes. Either option is great because it saves you from paying $10 a day to park at Universal. Plus, since its not on International Drive, its in a somewhat quiet area - not tons of traffic all the time. But it's still close enough to I-Drive to drive there in less than 5 minutes. They also offer free internet access, as well as 2 computers in the lobby you can use - although we never took advantage of them. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Universal Orlando!
