Just a hotel....
By Eric, 6/20/11
This is just a run of the mill hotel. Nothing special, nothing bad. The parking lot is tight and they do offer underground parking for 7 dollars a night. Overall is was a great place to lay your head. The room was clean and they have large flat screen TVs. The internet is not free and charges $8.95 for 24 hour use. This service is good throughout the mall as well. Military receive the corporate rate which is $20 cheaper then the going rate. Make sure you call in advance for reservations. This place fills up nightly

Stay Away!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/09
I just stayed at the Inn with my wife and kids and her side of the family(10 people/3 rooms) sister-in law used the bathroom when we first got there, the toilet over flowed, she went to the desk to get some help and the front desk girl just looked at her like "what do you want me to do"? Brother-inlaw used the connecting door between the 2 rooms so their bags wouldnt get wet and the door knob fell off when he tried the door! After alot of bantering they got another room on the 3 floor. There was a soap wrapper from the night before guest left on the shelf in the shower in our room! When we pulled the sheets back their was hair in the bed! I could smell perfume from the night before guests on my pillow and the glitter/makeup from their night out on the town all over my pillow. I asked for new sheets and pillow cases but could only have new sheets, I was told the other pillows where in cabnet under the TV, they looked very soiled and well used, need less to say both my wife and I slept with our clothes on and had to explaine to our girls Why they where sleeping on Mom and Dads winter coats! They charge little extras for everything, first bag of coffee was free, after that it was a $1 a bag, the bottled water said our complements but if you looked closer it was $1.50. It was very cold the three days we where there so I wanted to plug my SUV in but of course there wasnt enough pluggins(not even close) so I paid yet more money ($5.00) to park underground out of the cold when I went under the parkade I saw it also doubles as a storage place for old beds, bed frames, TV cabnets etc, I am sure if they cleaned up the parkade they could of got another 5 or so cars inside for the night. The only saving grace this "INN" has going for it is because it is across the street from the WestEdmonton Mall! as a bussiness onwer I can tell very little/no money goes back into the bussiness and all profit goes to the owner/owners. I strongly believe you get what you pay for, we didn't get any where's close to what we paid for. I work hard for my money so when our family makes this trip again we'll stay in the mall or down the street and one of the bigger hotel chains and drive to the mall everyday.

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/23/08
I checked into the hotel late in the afternoon. The lobby was full of people, the rude girl behind the desk handed me my room key and then proceeded to announce to the entire lobby my room number. I was traveling alone with 2 children. The room was not clean, the service was very poor, the hotel was very noisy. he only thing I liked was the location. They were just as rude at check out as they were at check in. I would not reccomend this hoetel to my ex-husband and his wife. Enoughh said!!!!

Very disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/2/07
On the evening of Jan. 28, 2007 my boyfriend and I stayed at your hotel. We paid extra for underground parking. Our brand new SUV was broken into and thousands of dollars of personal items were stollen. We had to ask for our money back for the nights stay. I'm am most disgusted with the management, who didn't even have the decency to come and appologize or offer any assistance. There was one young lady who was polite and helpful. The rest of you were rude and no help what so ever. Telling us pretty much that this was our problem now. I will never stay in your hotel again, and believe me the word has been spread about your wonderful establishment. We both work for a large oil field company and used your hotel many times. Please note that we will not be using you for anything any more. The saying "lead by example" is deffinately showing through, take this as a hint to improve your people skills and business edicate.

We know where to stay next time.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/05
It was nice to know that if we got tired doing what ever at the mall,we could just walk across the street to rest. Also we didn't have to worry about our car or belongings.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/05
Don't be mislead or misinformed...this hotel is not attached to, nor part of the mall complex. My bad...should've investigated a bit more. My room was OK but a bit dingy and down at the heels. Toilet didn't work (Oh, Joy!) but the night reception guy was helpful. The day reception girl was less so, only responding to my query regarding seafood restaurants in the area with "I don't know...I don't eat seafood...".

Great hotel
By countrygirl, 8/17/05
West Edmonton Mall Inn is in a great location. It's across the street from the Mall. After a full morning of shopping, go back to the room, drop off your bags, and go back to the mall again. The location is wonderful. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but across at the mall, there's a lot of eating places. From fast food McDonalds to sit down restaurants like Moxie's. There's also a food court and an Asian supermarket. Down the street from the Inn there's an Outback Steakhouse too. If we ever go back to Edmonton to do shopping, we'll go back here.
