Days Inn Blytheville, Blytheville

We stayed in this motel over the 4th of July weekend. We stayed there because we wanted to stay in an affordable motel with a clean pool. The motel's pool is clean and newly remodeled. The motel itself could use some remodeling. The room we stayed in could used some new wallpaper. The mattresses on the bed are worn and need replacing. Housekeeping walked in on us one morning, without knocking and the "Do Not Disturbed" sign was hung on the door. Air Conditioner was either full cold or off. There was plenty of hot water. Actually too hot & dangerous. The hot water could easily scald you if the hot side was just turned on without cold water side turned on. The weather stripping under the door was worn and you could see sunlight under the door. The motel must have an shortage on towels and washcloths. You cannot get a fresh one without trading a dirty one for it. There is a ongoing issue with the Travelodge guest next door coming over and using the Days Inn pool and eating their continental breakfast. The manager came out several times checking to see if people using the pool were Days Inn guest. Each time he had to ask Travelodge guest to leave the pool. There are signs posted at the pool and at the entrance to the breakfast room, informing people that they were for Day Inns guest only.

When we visited, staff was really friendly, but this place is a disappointment. Upon turning down the bed for the night we discovered small blood stains on the bed. There was a 3/4 inch gap under the door to our room. There was a place on the wall where a smoke alarm had been mounted, but it looks as though it was ripped from the wall. It was not there. Isn't that a saftey violation? I went to bathe my infant daughter, and found pubic hair floating in the tub. No one had bathed in the tub outside of her at this point. I looked up and noticed the ceiling in the shower was falling apart. The shower tiles were moldy, as well. It was just creepy. I had a fussy baby, and needed to stop for the night, this is not what I needed. This place is safe for no one. The continental breakfast the next morning...sad. The dining area freezing as the main entry to the hotel was across from it. Stay elsewhere.

what a dirty run down terrible place to stay !!!!! The management is rude and not professional. The washer and dryers are old and filthy as is the rooma. The grounds are littered with trash cigerette butts and the pool looks terrible id pass this by and drive another 20 miles you wont regret it

The hotel is a bit old, but the staff at the front desk made it worthwhile. They were very nice. Nothing like the bad experience we had with the hotel next door to it.
