Great place! would stay there again :)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/24/10
No complaints what-so-ever...with one exception. The p.m. desk clerk was more concerned about eating her food and hogging the computer/internet in the lobby. I watched her do business with 2 of your customers from the computer chair. She showed NO interst in assisting customers compared to all your other staff that were more than wonderful , from the front desk, to the breakfast girl, to the maid :)...(only one exception) As for the rooms, VERY nice, no complaints :) Pool/hot tub Nice :) chinese food across the street was to-die-for GOOD :) yep, only one complaint......

Great ameneties - they put the customer first
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/10
My husband and I especially enjoyed the pool. It didn't have anyone else there and I think it was either saltwater or low chlorine. We stayed in it for over an hour before taking advantage of the hot tub which was just right. Our room was spacious with a lounge seat by the window, a big comfy bed, a mini-living room space complete with a sofa, table, min-fridge, microwave and counter space. The bathrooms are also very clean and nice, and even though the hotel is close to the freeway it is not loud. There are not too many places to eat in the immediate vicinity, but that is okay with us. After a rainy and humid day, driving several miles from Bend, OR and fighting some traffic, it was just what we needed to end our day on a great note.

There is more than "comfort" at the Comfort Inn
By xcopper, 6/9/08
I cannot say enough good things about this Hotel from the rooms to the pool, to the exercise equipment to the free breakfasts to the great staff. And the "why" of all this is undoubtedly due to the wonderful hostess herself, "Nayna". She is the very best!!

I was most ipressed with the staff at the hotel. They were polite and willing to answer all of our questions. The rooms were clean and beds were nice. The indoor pool was a nice treat too.

Our yearly visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/07
Every year we come to Portland to spend a week with our family. We have stayed at several hotels over the years but without a doubt the Comfort Inn-Portland was our favorite. We cannot say enough about the staff, from the point of check-in to the check-out we were treated with great respect as though we were part of the family. We find the large rooms and hot tub superb, and they bring the accommodations of a higher end hotel chain. We look forward to many future stays and we would defiantly recommend this hotel to others!

A Good Choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/2/07
I was looking for a place near a TriMet station and found this hotel. The rooms on the front of the building have less noise from the freeway. The room was spacious, staff were courteous and I had a microwave and fridge in the room. Breakfast in the morning was ample and tasty. The TriMet station was a block away--connected to the entire city and made travel a breeze. The only downside is the neighborhood. It's a bit dodgy after dark, but that didn't really concern me for my stay.

Good hotel for price
By Teela, 6/18/06
This hotel is literally a 3 minute walk to Portland's Tri-Met public transportation system, which goes everywhere. It is about a 15 minute drive out of the heart of downtown Portland so driving or taking the Tri-Met is a must to do or see anything. The hotel is located in what I would call a local neighborhood; it sits right against the interstate so it's easy to find, but there are not a lot places to eat near the hotel. Because it is by the interstate it did not appear to be the best neighborhood but we were fine when walking to and from the Tri-Met station. I thought the breakfast was great. You can make waffles, egg sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, or just have toast and cereal. There was plenty of food too-even if you were arriving towards the end of the breakfast. The hotel staff was friendly; they helped us figure out the Tri-Met and gave us directions to another destination we were headed to. The room and bathroom were clean. The only bad thing about the rooms was the pillows-I would suggest you bring your own. I would stay at this hotel again for sure!
