WARNING: No Liquor License, BEWARE!
By , 02/06/09
No liquor in the casino, not a single bar, no place have a nice drink with friends and gamble, not even beer/wine in the cafe. The only liquor license is for the Steak House (only open evenings and no carry out). This must be the only casino in the US without a liquor license, not even a beer/wine license.

Luxury is the name of the game at Barona
By Michelle, 08/04/08
The regular rooms and the suites are all immaculate. The service is top notch. The casino pays as well as Viejas. The Barona Valley is beautiful and peaceful. If you want to golf, no problem. The Steakhouse is 4 stars. I cannot find anything negative to say about Barona. And if you live in the San Diego area and frequent casinos, this is one I would recommend for the perks. It rivals anything in Vegas without all the hustle and bustle.

Best Tribal Gaming in SD County
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/01/08
What is there not to like. As soon as you enter the casino (which is spacious by the way) you are greeted by a sincere and friendly hello and smile. The slots and tables are plentiful and actually allow you to play for extended periods of time. Very ease to cash in those winning tickets either at cashiers stands or numerous change staff are roaming the floor. Great food at the Sage Resturant, best buffet ever and the steak house is excellent. Only one complaint, "KIDS" under 18 are allowed in the casiono and although they state they must leave at 8 p.m., the rule is not enforced.

Casino Sales Manager rude!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/07
Imagine our reaction when we got off a privately chartered bus and the first greeting we got was "you can't play golf". He said I paid for your bus and you can't play golf. James/sales manager ranted on and on about how he paid for the bus. Wrong! I was part of a privately chartered bus and the casino did not pay for it. He threatened me saying he wanted my name and I would not be allowed to play golf while the rest of my group gambled. I can understand if I was on a Barona sponsored charter bus..but I was NOT!! I along with the other people paid for the bus out of our own pocket. The sales manager had the nerve to tell us what we could and couldn't do. This guy was wacko. This was my first time to Barona and my last. Go to Harrah's Rincon instead. They are much more hospitable and polite.

We loved our last stay and are planning to go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
The rooms and bathrooms were immaculate. Service at the casino and hotel was great. Food prices and quality was great. Room prices are a little steep for the limited activities available outside gambling and dining.

kenny rogers casino?
By PepperR, 01/22/06
sally and i have always wondered why the country singer kenny rogers is plastered all over the advertisements and buses that belong to barona valley ranch casino. we still haven't received an adequate explanation. this, however, does not hinder us from enjoying the fun at the casino. it reminds us of las vegas, where we are from, except that there are no craps tables. still, our experiences, for the most part, have been absolutely enjoyable and we will return again and again!

Barona Valley Ranch Casino on Paddy Wagon
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/28/05
The trip came as a surprises so once I was introduced to the Paddy Wagon community I was pleasantly surprises. The destination was Barona Valley Casino near Santee California. After everything I was down eighty bucks, not terrible considering it was my first, mainly playing Bingo. Yes Bingo. The facility is nice modern and clean space. My main complaint is not having access to internet computers, paid hourly of course. This Casino is a traditional slot machine and card playing environment. There are very little rest areas, except in front of slots. There are plenty of walking areas to get lost. Majority of my time was spent playing Bingo, can't intense that game gets. The paddy wagon was the best fiftteen bucks I spent. We got home at 12:30am.
