Extremely Lucky

Let me just start out by saying that my daughter and I were here in business and our first impression of Winkler itself was not favorable. Travelling from Kenora, Ontario via Greyhound was rather pleasant, however, when we arrived at the bus station in Winkler, our impressions began to change quite dramatically.
The bus station is also a Uhaul depot and a Variety store, a very busy Variety Store. When we were finally able to get someones attention we were stunned to find out that there would be no taxi service to get us to the Days Inn. One Taxi service refused to come and the other would not answer the phone. We ended up walking from the Greyhound/Variety Store/Uhaul Depot to the Days Inn which took us an hour. My suggestion would be perhaps having some sort of Valet Service for Clients for a small fee for those individuals that are arriving by way of the bus.
Once we finally made it to the lobby of the Days Inn my first impression was how clean and orderly everything seemed to be. The young lady desk clerk was sympathetic to our ordeal and efficiently handled the arrangements for our room. Once we arrived at our room we were both thrilled at how well kept, stylish and for me especially it met all the requirements of the Canadian Restaurant and Food-services Association and by that I mean the room was immaculate, well designed to prevent cross contamination etc. You have a wonderful staff in Housekeeping especially the Supervisor who was very accommodating, and looked as if she enjoyed her position. I would certainly come here again although not if there isn't transportation provided. The pool was well kept and clean, the rules accurate and fair, and the hot tub was divine. I would also like to mention that there was very little, if any noise coming from other guests making sleep possible at any hour.
