Wingate by Wyndham Schaumburg\Convention Center, Schaumburg

I arrived there and checked in. There was no water in any of the vending machines. The hotel in general had no water at all. We asked the check in guy and was very rude and disrespectful. When we went in the room, some of the bulbs in the room was out. The air conditioner had way too much noise. Very bad breakfast, very small selection, all they had was a old and bad tasting omelets and bacon. They had no eggs or any type of meat. I do NOT recommend. The hotel was not worth over a hundred dollars. More of a $50 inn.

I don't know what Chad meant in his review...we stayed here for a whole week and all of the staff, especially the general manager were MORE than accommodating. I spoke with the GM several times, prior to staying and while we were there and he was NEVER anything but gracious...and the hot tub was pretty hot one night but he made the adjustments we asked with no issue. This is one of the classiest establishments in Schaumburg...we loved our stay so much we moved from Seattle to Schaumburg in September of 2011!!! Maybe you only got one side of the story Chad...

DO NOT STAY HERE. We tend to travel quite a bit for vacations, and this - by far - was the worst hotel experience ever. My wife was looking to take a little girls weekend to get away for some shopping, relaxing, and maybe catch a movie in the hotel room. As can tend to happen, the pay-per-view was out...typically not a big deal. When she pointed this out to the general manager, he proceded to berate her in the lobby. After verbally attacking her for several minutes, he felt it necessary to make the comment "you're not going to cry about this are you." He then said she was "free to leave the hotel" but had to be out in 35 minutes or he "will assess the late checkout penalty." So much for a fun weekend. Imagine this happening to your wives, daughters, mothers...

The first thing I noticed was the staff's friendliness, We had just completed a 6 hour drive to get to the Chicago area and we were checked in and in the room within five minutes of parking. The area and hotel were very clean and quiet. The only distraction was the heavy footsteps of the visitor on the floor above us. The breakfast weas great with do it yourself waffles, sausage, eggs pastries.... even ramen! The drive to downtown Chicago was way over the 20 minutes that someone had previously noted it took nearly an hour but after the first day we took backroads and the trip was actually enjoyable. Overall a great hotel for a reasonable price. I would recommend it for anyone heading to the area.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We got a great deal being members of "TripRewards". We were thrilled with the whirlpool, fitness center, and location of this hotel. It was very open and welcoming and CLEAN! The bed was by far the most comfy I've been in - down-feather everything! There were great brochures in the room for food and tourist spots. It was close to downtown Chicago, only a 20 min drive. The free breakfast was excellent - waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, muffins, bagels, etc. I also loved the ease of connecting to their WiFi service on my laptop. The only cons: The walls in our room (more particularly, the bathroom) were kinda thin. I'm not a big fan of hearing other people's conversations through the walls. Also - tere is no pool, kind of a bummer. Lastly, one of the front desk guys we dealt with was the most ADHD, fast-talking individual I'd ever seen. VERY nice guy, but good luck having a conversation with him, without going "I'm sorry, wha???" Overall - we give this place an A+!

I must say, you can't judge a book by it's cover. The staff was great and greated my son with a Spongebob doll. On top of that, they told us if we needed ANYTHING to ask, sure enough, they provided. I ordered calimari from the room service menu and I can not find a sauce that even compares to the one they served. . .it was excellent. It's easy to get to, close to the mall and highways, yet very quiet and clean. Ample parking too. Will be returning, that's for sure.

I made reservations online and the Yahoo site says this hotel has a swimming pool - this is one of the 2 main reasons I chose it. It does NOT have a pool. VERY disappointing not to mention false advertising.

Best choice to stay. From the second of checking in to checking out. Our experience here was like checking into the 5 star hotel resort. Rooms are very clean and oversized and the hot breakfast buffet was very enjoyable. I would definately stay here again.

My experience at this hotel has never been before at any other hotel. This hotel serviced and catered to me in every way possible as well to other guest. I would definately stay here again on my next trip to Schaumburg.
