Do not stay at this hotel
By ,
We chose the hotel for our honeymoon. We booked due to proximity to the Colosseum & because of good reviews on trip advisor. Location is just OK: It is close to the Colosseum & Forum & while you will visit them, you will find you want to be closer to the city & the rest of Rome's other many attractions during your trip. It is also not very close to night-life, shopping & good restaurants so you will need to catch the Metro or a taxi to get around. .Whereas if you are in the right district, most of Rome can be done on foot. The room was OK: Clean, modern but very small. Staff were helpful/friendly. The cost was expensive given the location. Once in Rome, we found a lot of other wonderful accommodation options in better locations for less which we wished we had booked. While the hotel is not good value for money, I would not write a bad review except for what happened next...On the only occasion I forgot to lock the safe, 700 euro was stolen by a member of staff. This happened while our room was serviced. Even the hotel staff admitted to us the theft was by a staff member. Given the circumstances I would assume the Hotel would reimburse us. We followed all of their instructions and made a police report in Rome immediately. We were asked to wait while they resolved this through insurance. .We waited very patiently for over 3 months. The hotel failed to keep us updated unless we chased them. Finally they advise us that we can have a few nights free accommodation only. They know we live in Australia & can't use this which we made very clear to them. I have even checked with the Italian consumer body & the hotel is required under Italian law to reimburse us, however they will not negotiate any further on this. You can take or leave this review for what it is. You can take your chance and hopefully you wont be subject to a theft or complaint which the hotel probably wont help you with. But in all honestly you can no doubt find a better hotel for location and price regardless.

Super experience
By ,
Nothing but positive feedback: very quiet but central location, warm, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast (the roof terras with view on Colloseum is a fantastic way to start your day)), very clean, spaceous and comfortable rooms, exellent gym. If we go back to Rome, we'll definitively stay here again.

Great stay in August
By ,
The staff was very helpful. The room had the expected amenities and the breakfast buffet had a multiplicity of choices. We were in Rome as tourists and the location was within walking distance of so many places (including the Colosseo metro stop for non-walking distance places).

Great
By ,
Very nice room. Nice people. Very good location. Quiet. Near the Coloseum. Walking distance from many of the must-see places. But not out in the traffic. Clean neighborhood (Rome is dirty and filled with grafitti).

superb weekend break
By ,
My wife and I spent a weekend the hotel during the hot month of August 06. We found our room comfortable, well air conditioned and spotlessly clean. The staff were both helpful and courteous. The hotels central location is quiet as it is off of the main streets yet idea for the visiting of all of the major sights(ancient Rome)which are all within very easy walking distance)The view from the breakfast terrace is pleasant and the top third tier of the Colosseum is visible as is the upper section of Nero's golden palace and we both enjoyed the fine array of breakfast fare eaten as the sun breaks over the rooftops of Rome, I highly recommend this hotel.

I love this hotel RETURN VISITOR
By ,
I have been to this hotel twice for week long stays. It is located about a block away from the Coloseum. The rooms are very nice and modern, service was great, lots of little restaurants in the area - great breakfast! I would say this is safely a 4 star hotel...could be a 5 star. Very good value.

We had 2 nice rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast upstairs was great and then you walk outside and a great view of the Colosseum! Quiet street too. The rooms were clean and bathrooms nice with bathrobes provided. Rooms temps stayed cool enough but not as cold as I like but we slept great on their firm beds!
