Very nice quiet hotel, close to subways

For my first prolonged visit to New York I wanted a nice hotel and this was it. The beds were so comfortable and the area was very quiet after a long tiring day sightseeing. While the bathroom had no counter for toilitries, it was all beautiful marble w/great towels. Had a fridge and in room safe and the windows opened to the cobblestone street below. Nice continental breakfast. But a fresh pot of coffee needs to be made for the evening coffee/cookie service. Close to subways so a quick trip to midtown and a very fast walk to Battery Park if you're seeing Lady Liberty. Great restaurants behind the hotel and a Duane Reade not too far away along w/Crumbs Cupcakes on Beaver St. The mirrors needed a dusting along w/the thingamajig that holds the soaps/shampoos in the bathroom. Maid service was great. Front desk was helpful w/maps and directions but for the life of me I couldn't find the BofA that was supposedly 2 blocks away. Oh well. Still a very nice hotel. If you're looking to be away from the action, want a nice quiet place but still close to some attractions and the subway, this place is it.
