Wonderful place to stay.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/07
We are senior citizens (both 84). Staff was great from taking phone reservations throughout our stay. Rates were very reasonalbe. Very sensitive to our needs (a ground level floor,so no stairs and stool to use in the bath tub). Helpful in planning our activities. Wonderful view of a meadow and the Yampa River. Special treat to see five hot air balloons land in the meadow so close to us. Room very clean and area for free breakfast was nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Well first of all, there is nothing to dislike about The Bunk House or it's staff. What I did like, My partner & I had broke down on Hwy 40 this last Thursday late afternoon. I wasn't going to make it to Stmbt.Sprgs.by check in time & had no phone reception where we were. When we did make into range, we called to let them know of our situation, and that we were in route. When the call was answered, it just happened to be the owner. He not only made our unpleasant road experience easy to forget, he was also too kind as to help on the rate as well. That evening,I was up doing paper work, I went to the desk & asked the Gal if she could make me some copies for me. Of course, that was not a problem.(poor lil' thing) I guess what I am getting at is, The Owners & their kind staff will always have our vote. That was my second time staying with them up in Steamboat Springs within the past month on business, and due back up again in a week or so. I think you all know where to find me. Thanks for taking the time to read about my experience. And special thanks to you J... ChrisB... S.E.CO.
