Top Notch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/08
I stayed at this hotel for 2 days and although it wasn't a vacation, it truly felt like one. I have stayed at many Doubletrees across the US and none have been as nice as this one. It truly felt like a much more expensive hotel. If I am ever back in the area I will absolutely stay here again.

Great Room Service!
By M., 05/25/07
This hotel was overall a pretty good stay. The only complaints were that the parking was indeed outrageous and that some high school dance was happening one night and we could hear thumping until midnight. It seemed annoying at first but because we were so exhausted with being at Disneyland all day, it didn't get in the way of getting a restful sleep. We ordered room service the next morning and it was sooo goood, loads of fresh fruit and perfectly cooked eggs and bacon! Yummy! All in all if I had to stay here again I would, but would probably try another hotel first.

Beware of Travelocity
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/05
I've stayed at this hotel many times since it opened. Usually I book it directly through Hilton. This time I thought I'd save a little money and book it through Yahoo/Travelocity. BIG MISTAKE! I got to the hotel around 8:00pm and they never received my reservation from Travelocity. They were completely sold out so they made a reservation for me at another hotel (not nearly as nice). Kudos to Doubletree for doing all they could do with the situation. I'll never book another hotel through Yahoo/Travelocity though!

I expected more
By Doug, 06/22/05
For the 3.5 star rating on Expedia, and the fact this is a relatively new hotel, I expected a lot more than I got for the money I paid. The room was rather plain, though on the nicer side of plain. The pillows were too small and the mattress wasn't as comfortable as I have experienced at other hotels that charge a similar amount per night. Maid service was annoyingly vacuuming the hallway at 8am on a Sunday morning, and forgot to leave any washcloths after cleaning the bathroom. Parking in the hotels' own garage is $9.00 a night -- for $150+ a night for a room, I think parking should have been complimentary, especially since the garage under the hotel didn't seem to ever lack for empty spaces during my stay. The hotel is in a convenient location if you're visiting the Orange County area by way of John Wayne Airport, as it's less than a 2 minute drive during non-traffic hours from the airport - and it's one block from the 55 freeway. I don't t

Up the the Doubletree name.
By Liam, 05/23/05
Brand new hotel. Very clean and friendly staff. Quite modern decor in relation to other in the chain. The rooms are very clean spacious. Only advice is make sure you ask for a high floor away from the road as Macarthur is a major street.
